We need a good coach. It doesn't matter what team we're fielding when he is incapable of preparing them for big games.

As usual you are right on.

Our forwards had NOTHING! Only one forward cracked 80 metres and that was Franky Pritchard.

Walsh missed 6 tackles and made 5. He has to go. I've said in that other place that he will cost us games, and he has been. He is the worst defender in the NRL.

We desperately need a real PROP FORWARD!!!!! Matty Bell and Franky Puletua are honest toilers at best. They aren't really starting quality.

Gosh I would love to have Fui Fui or his like at the club. Sam McKendry is the closest thing we have got but he is slowish and very unfit with poor lateral movement.

You're wrong there. Chris Sandow is the worst defender in the NRL.

Luke Walsh is an average defender but has been largely responsible for us having a chance at cracking the top 8. It's not his fault that the game plans are terrible and the coach doesn't plan for us to reach the 5th tackle. Why would he plan for an event that never occurs?

Action replay of last season, year on the line and they put in that performance. Absolutely devestated. Absolutely pathetic.

I can't beleive we re-signed elliott so early on, should have been waiting till now.

Looks like we'll miss the Top 8 again this year.
Same old, same old.
Useless coach, useless management. And the worst part is we still have the f**ker for the next 2 years as well as no first-grade signings and about 100 losses.

... never fear Panther supporters, we'll make the finals next year because of our marquee signing of David Simmons...

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :x

When we signed Lang, I was excited about our team. When we signed Elliot, I was worried and felt it was the wrong move. Nothing has changed since then. Last year, there was a glimmer of hope when there was rumours he was going to get the sack. I was excited about the prospect of signing Daniel Anderson as our coach. But we failed there. Look at what he has done for Parramatta, in a very short about of time.

Just when I think things cannot get worse with this club, they seem to. The last few daggers have been the signing of Simmons, and the losses of Daniela and JTK.

5 years of dissapointment. Are we the club with the longest finals drought in the comp?

On todays game, I have just turned off channel 9 coverage. Disgusting defense. We have had two day games this year - gave up 56 to the Broncos and 30+ to the Eels. Two teams that have been struggling at the different stages of the season.

What has this club done that is any good recently, besides the Petro signing. Bringing in Nathan Smith, Brad Tighe, Adam Woolnough. I know this all sounds repetitive, but I am just sick of this garabage we have had for the last 5 years.

We re-signed our coach after 2 years of failure because of a couple good games... wait, that's not good.

We let go of our best hooker and our two most promising young outside backs (besides Jennings)... wait, that's not good.

We've signed no-one but David Simmons, who doesn't even deserve a start in reggies... wait, that's not good.

We are only going to get worse next season... wait, that's not good.

You've stumped me. :(

The last few weeks our forwards have been absolutely useless. I see the backs taking more hit ups. No one gets a pass.

All of them have done nothing and are completely MIA.

Walsh has been terrible he's gotten no help. Graham needs to be or get more involved.

In the last two weeks Jennings has touched the ball very rarely and for the most part alot of it is our fault.

Our completion rate must be atrocious. We can't seem to get to our kick and continue to do stupid things.

This loss has really crushed us. We've been lucky the last few weeks with other results going our way. We had to stand up today and didn't. It started as another try for try game like Parramatta and in the end Brisbane tightened up not us and embarassed us.

I'm so frustrated right now. This team is playing some stupid, idiotic football at the moment and the forwards are playing without heart and aren't doing their job.

I'm so angry and shattered, what more to say, this team lacks heart and passion, this is evidenced in our pathetic defense, I mean how hard is it to defend a simple inside ball play around the ruck, I mean f**k me!!

Yeah Walsh is a sh*t defender but at least he does something in attack, Graham is just as big a liability in defense, hell the whole of our forward pack is a liability in defense, just a poor attitude.

Season over, we are backing into the end of the season while everyone else is peaking, as usual great coaching by ME.

Please stop picking non-impact players off the bench, f**ken Smith and Cooper offer nothing!!!

What is there to do after a loss like this, and looking like we'll miss the finals again?
Look forward to next year? Well, we can't. :(
Ugh.
Any ideas guys?

When we were still up 24-22 I could already see that massacre coming. They were already falling apart and playing terrible footy. I knew it was going to happen and turned the tv off immediately because I didn't want to see it happen.

I then went and checked the final score online....and the sad thing is I wasn't at all surprised when I saw it. The finals were in their hands and they threw it away.

I am angry and shattered and very embarassed at their performance. And I still want to smash Elliott in the face, and have felt like that since the day they announced they had signed him originally. Nothing has happened to change the way I feel since.

Next season is looking like being an even bigger embarassment. There was NO excuse for today's disaster. Even if by some miracle they were to get a win up against souths, parra will annihilate us, and so will the knights. I shudder to think how far down the ladder we will end the season.

I hate smelliott with just as much passion as I love the Panthers :(

I don't know how you guys can single handedly point out Walsh and Graham. It's not all their fault we lost today. We lost because of poor defence. Poor structure. And the loss of desire to win at all costs.

They have lost their way big time.

Those at the top who had a hand in the decision to re-sign Elliott, those neckties must be feeling slightly uncomfortable now. They had the chance to hang Elliott but they should be held accountable for whatever happens this season and the next few...

I still think iddiott needs to keep going with the inside ball to puletua and bell. it has got all our opponents completely baffled to a point that their defence just appears out of nowhere to cover up.

Penrith will win next week, and the two weeks after that.

We'll make the finals...eventually qualify for the G.F. against Gold Coast...it'll go into extra time...extra time will not produce a result so a replay will go ahead either the next Tuesday (like the last time from memory) or the following Saturday or Sunday...the score will be still a tie after extra time and the first ever duo-title holders will be crowned.

Hey guys,

Commiserations for the loss, trust me I know how hard it is to be on the losing end and to feel embarrassed but your boys have been doing a fantastic job this season keeping a number of critics (yours truly) quiet.

As a Broncos fan, we're not kidding ourselves, we know we didn't play your side at their best and as a result we're keeping a level head going into next week. Speaking of next week, I hope your boys bounce back and keep your finals aspirations alive.

I also wanted to give a big shout out to one of your boys, Luke Lewis. What a brave player, if we had somebody with his ticker, we'd be such a succesful unit. Never the less, I hope you guys remember your strengths and the boys can achieve a position that reflects the level of loyalty this board has shown.

Best of luck guys! Hope you all appreciate Petero!

I would like to echo those sentiments about Luke Lewis.

A team of 17 Luke Lewis' would win the competition. This bloke could play every position on the field and be competative. He is world class at centre, 5/8th, lock, and could probably cover front row at a pinch and not embarass himself.

Definitely agree Fibro, the guy is all class and doesn't deserve to be on the end of a thumping like that, he has more heart in his pinky that most of our other forwards...

Mate, did you even watch the game yesterday? Wade pulled off some massive hits on Sam Thaiday in particular, and I even commented to a few people near me at the game that Wade seemed to make it his personal mission to stop Thaiday!

He missed a lot of tackles

But he was being targeted in defense

i got bagged on here and p1 when i said walsh was not up to first grade.I am not happy to see my scouting on him ring true.Say what you like but walsh and graham can not be on the field at the same time between them they are making 10 missed tackles a game .I am a fan of Graham as he has a load of natural ability and given time will become a stand out so he stays
The last tackle options are killing us.We need another hooker on the bench.Aiton is dying on the tail end of games bring Romelo in he has that mongrell factor missing right in the team now
