Panthers V Roosters

Well I certainly didn't see this one coming, I think I may have underestimated the panthers this year, they well and truly outplayed the roosters last night.
Having said that, the roosters were their own worst enemies and I wouldn't be surprised if the statistics showed as many unforced errors against the roosters as we had in Round 1, their handling was woeful and some of the option taking was just as bad. I realise they have a lot of players out, but they also had a lot of players out last week and did the damage against the bulldogs.
Looks to me as if it's going to be a very up and down season with all teams capable of being beaten on the day. Let's hope Parra consistantly keep the improvement coming.

I wouldn't be comparing the Roosters to Parramatta in any respect at present.
They didn't have 36 points put on them in a half of football, and don't look likely to.
Penriff on the other hand were superb.
Both these teams are going to take some beating this year.

that is how a good defence works, up and at them ,in their faces, impeneterreble close to the line. man can parra learn a lot from the team they put 100 pnts on a couple of yrs ago

Best three teams so far this year... Penrith, Easts and Storm.
Still the Sydney Cricket Grand Final isn't over yet, the 2004 Melbourne Cup winner hasn't started preparing for the Race, and the Melb Cup is just a month after the NRL Grand Final.....
Food for thought.

Parramatta take note: Penrith's goal line defense! How good was it!

Alot of people (mainly Roosters fans) will use the excuse that the Roosters beat themselves. Rubbish. Penrith's defence was outstanding and continually frustrated the Roosters into making errors. That's how you win the big games.

I tipped Penrith, too many people have written them off and its too early, besides that team reminds me of us 2001 except we were better ;-)

I was hoping Penrith would win the game. When Brad Fittle tried to dive over from dummy half I cringed thinking it was a certain try. Guess that's the difference between Parra and Penrith at the moment. Against us that's four points.
Woolford will give our goal line D a very good test, hope we have studied and prepared well for it.
