Salmon was great set up 3 tries kicked well and good in d. Definitely a big difference with Salmon. Once he gets his kicking game in order, he may be our future 5/8

BA said Dylan back next game
Dylan and Moses are our future halves. But I like Salmon as a centre and cover for the halves when needed.

What a f**king painful team to support, we dish up that crap last week and then turn into premiership contenders the next.

Gower, Mau'u, Hoffman, Salmon, Jennings were all awesome, so to Brown.

The boys ran hard, tackled hard, and in attack they were swinging side to side and it looked good as the Broncos were very compressed and we kept pulling them apart.

Salmon offers so much more at 6 then Smith, as soon as he goes look what happens. I noticed he took a lot of the kicking responsibility off Moses and we had 2 points of attack finally. His pass for Sivo's try was beautiful and his calming influence allowed Moses to not over play his hand and produce quality more often then not.

It's amazing how good they play at home, I can't fathom how they can't compete away and for me that comes down to a mental thing aswell as the coach having a part in that.
Gower's offloads and second phase caused them some serious headaches through the middle, Brown just adds so much punch up front and I thought the back 3 were very strong again.

They looked like world beaters tonight which is why it's so painful to support these guys, hopefully with the return of Drown next game we can improve on our attack a step up from tonight again as I think he is gonna add so much when he is back.

But but but Lodge is a forward leader?
“I’ve made the decision to put Matt into our leadership group,” Seibold revealed.

“About three weeks ago, I made the decision to add Matt to the group.

“It was in the week of the Manly game, because Andrew McCullough went down injured, and I decided to add ‘Lodgey’ to the group.

“I first met Matt when he was 18 in the under-20s at Melbourne, I’ve known him a long time and coached him in the Junior Kangaroos, so I’ve seen his development.

“I made the decision based on his actions on and off the field.

“He is someone that our middle-forwards look up to. We have a lot of young players at the club and while Matt is only 23, he has a maturity beyond his years and the young guys really respect him.”

We were all over the highly rated Broncos pack. Just goes to show what enthusiasm and energy does for a side.
Not to mention having all the ball:

Attempted tackles by middle defenders:
Eels
54 Mahoney
30 Terepo
29 Brown
21 Paulo
17 Stone
14 Evans

Broncos
45 Haas
42 Lodge
35 Pangai
33 Flegler
32 Carrigan
30 Turpin
24 McCullough

Everyone looks better running the ball than defending. Except Daniel Alvaro.

I see Nrown made just 25 tackles tonight .... he played the full 80 minutes yeah?

I think this is f**kin fantastic ... in years gone by he was making 40+ tackles in games ... and i reckon it took too much out of him .... he made 19 runs for 153m tonight ... excellent others are taking up the defensive workload
No merkin had much of a defensive workload tonight because we dominated possession. Although Mahoney seems to go just as hard every single week. The problem is when possession goes against us his mates get tired and let him get isolated more often. That usually leads to more misses from the little bloke.

Not his fault obviously. No team's hooker is their best middle defender, but they're all usually near the top of the tackle count. Ideally they aren't forced to make too many tackles one-on-one.
