I genuinely feel sorry for the fans who paid money to sit in the heat and watch this pathic effort.

BA has the backs swapping mid game!!! Sometimes French is fullback, Hayne centre and Hoffman wing, then other times Hanye is fullback, Hoffman centre and French wing. It's the dumbest thing I have ever seen!

When did they switch today? ... every time i looked french was fullback ... tho i admit my interest levels waned during the game

I'm sure this was discussed twenty pages back however.... when I saw Alvaro and Tepai were on the bench and Evans was going to be in the opening exchanges with a massive Manly pack, I thought things were going to end badly. Massive tatical mistake by BA.

I agree Avenger.
Even scraping in the top 8 doesnt cut it for mine. People hailing BA but he has had a better squad then SK and Ricky so unfair to compare. 14,15 nothing. 16 ok salary cap thing. 17 very good year.But if we flop in 18 that 1/4 good seasons.

When in 15 and we needed to win one of our last 2 games to make 8 and didnt I wondered about BA.

Isn't that the main reason French is our fullback? Because he is suppose to be constantly pushing up in support? Something that Hayne can't do? I know he can't do it all the time but he was never there.

If that is not French's job then I have no idea why he is fullback. Because his running game, passing game, kicking game, one on one defence and footy iq is no where near as good as Hayne's.

Several times in attack, particularly when we were in the opposition half. Watch the replay. A number of us were talking about it during the game. It was mind boggling

I don't need to research it. I am well aware of what he has done at a two completely different teams with completely different players. His style of play with mobile forwards and multiple passing options/ball runners caught people off guard for a while but towards the end of his tenure at the Dogs he was exposed like Portuguese Chicken.

What specifically is it about Des that makes you think that he would do better than BA with the exact same squad of players? Give me something meaty and substantial rather than hot air and insults.

Des team I never saw give up. I admired that. Even at 24 nil down and no chance of winning theyd fight and keep fighting.

I feel we will beat the sharks. It isnt panic stations just yet.

Yes maybe. Hopefully he only plays as many games as Clint did in 2017

Our only forwards addition is a reserve grader from the Roosters that about sums it up.

He's come into a pack that finished top four. If he wasn't better than some of the others he wouldn't be in the team.

French was to busy being dumped into row one of the grandstand most of the afternoon.

About as confident as I am most of the time, a medium amount. But that's not the point here.

I'm not the one calling for BA to be replaced 2 GAMES into the season...

I highly doubt the vast majority would be wanting BA's arse on the BBQ at this point or even anytime in the near future. However, at this point the team looks like they have no clue. There are team changes and some other soul searching sessions to follow after today's inexcusable performance.
