Assuming it actually happens, I would employ a measured response based on the particular set of circumstances that lead to this currently hypothetical situation.

Its still early days. I'm not writing off our season just yet.
Gaz,

We look terrible mate. I love our team. You know that. But something stinks about us this year. It's only two games in but we look awful. I can't see us beating Cronulla next week. I hope we do but I can't see it.

We look underdone. What the f**k did they do pre-season? We had one trial FFS!!

Anyone can see that Cameron King, Taka in the second row, the continuing regress of Mau and the bizarre selection of starting our best defensive forwards on the bench was a silly mistake. Evans would never see NRL again. He is shit. French is no fullback.

Heads need to roll.

Have you seen his coaching record? I suggest you research it. The man is a great coach.
I don't need to research it. I am well aware of what he has done at a two completely different teams with completely different players. His style of play with mobile forwards and multiple passing options/ball runners caught people off guard for a while but towards the end of his tenure at the Dogs he was exposed like Portuguese Chicken.

What specifically is it about Des that makes you think that he would do better than BA with the exact same squad of players? Give me something meaty and substantial rather than hot air and insults.

I don't think our fitness has anything to do with it. Discipline, game plan, skill and motivation are more of a concern atm.

Agree on the discipline. But our players have not lost their skills from previous years. I believe we are very unfit.

I ask you, if we don't make the 8 this year, what would you do?
Sorry, I thought you asked Gary.

You probably won't like my answer because it wouldn't the one you would want, but I would keep BA and spend more money in the coaching area. This year we lost Peter Gentle and Ronnie Palmer, 2 experienced rugby league minds who would have both helped BA last year. We replaced Palmer with the guy from the AFL and to my knowledge we didn't replace Gentle.

I think BA has taken on more responsibility than he can handle at the moment and I think some of that get back to financial losses the PNRL has made and Max and PLC's decision to reduce the spending.

I see it as a combination of the above. Of course, when we start winning a few then all will be forgotten.

I think he is a better defensive coach then BA. I think he is a better motivational coach than BA. I know for a fact that he is insanely methodical before games and has every player on KPI's. Every single one which he measures.

When my Bulldogs mates saw what he did they absolutely were mesmerised on how much work ethic and preparation he has prior to games. Yes he is intense and yes he overstayed at the Dogs but he can coach mate and has a resume that BA can only dream about.

If this all failed and he wasn't available or we chose not to pursue I would move heaven and earth for Craig Bellamy. He is the best coach in the game. Cameron Smith will eventually be the coach there and I think Bellamy would do wonders at our club and will need a new challenge. I'd give him a blank cheque.

You do this every time we have a few loses. What's even worse is that as soon as we have a few wins you pop your cookies and start talking us up for the premiership.

Why cant you just be a bit more measured? It's all or f**ken nothing with you.

So if we're 2 from 6 to start this year should we still slash our wrists?

If we are 2 from 6, will we have the ability to add players to the team of the calibre of Kenny Edwards and Mitchell Moses to improve the squad?

You yourself said at the time of being 2 from 6 that we were missing a half. What are we missing now?

Spot on.

1 trial is a key point.

I don't want to go off half cocked but we look a bit ordinary.

However, as i like to be positive, we will beat sharks next week.

Do you think employing a strength and conditioning guy with no rugby league experience was a good move?

So you do agree with me because I did say he needs help, which is obvious. I dodn't say sack him now. Maybe when I was throwing things at the TV 2 hours ago but I would sleep on it.

Not sure what you mean by discipline .... but i have a theory that we are f**king up by being too disciplined

Manly had us f**ked in the first 15 minutes and they just kept rolling with nothing sloqling them down ... we needed to slow em down by sitting on them - give away some penalties if need be - buy some time to recover

Melbourne have built a dynasty on it
Tigers have pulled off 2 upsets this year playing doing it
Manly did it to us when we finally got some ball

We had success last year as one of the more penalised teams ... yet in the off season tgere was talk about being more disciplined .... f**k it ... playing boring shit grubby footy wins

The Balkans were built on this philosophy you dickhead. We don't take shit. We get angry, bash you, then drink with you. What's wrong with that ?

Enthusiasm, plain and simple, defense, attitude disappear when this occurs together with offensive cohesion.

It’s plain as day we just simply weren’t ready today, talent is there, next week will be a win.
