Wagon's job is defense I don't remember one break coming down Wagon's side of the field.

He made one half break, pushed off a few players and offloaded to Grothe who did similar. Wags had a good game in defence and protecting Timmy....

I'm not saying he doesn't do anything in attack but he is defence first.

Just as a weird stat

Parra v Wests with Wagon at centre

Wins: 2
Losses: 0
Total Score:

I really think Wags was great without being brilliant.

as for the Flatch's "weird stat"..that's all it is...weird??...considering both games were 4 years apart with 4 very different teams involved, I don't think Wags playing centre was any reason for the victories but he did play his part in both of them.

i am just gonna through my two cents worth in on the players and the game so here goes:

The Players
They all did well considering it was there 1st competitive match with all the new faces. Morrison had a perfect match....he was everywhere for us and and saved us on more then one occasion.
Others that have to give a mention too is Smith, who was very solid for a debut game in a vital position.
Also wagon and cannings had a great match IMO, they was solid in D and threatining in attack....if cannings stays fit expect big things from him.

Some players that need to put in a big one next week are grothe...he was very quite and needs to come in looking for work.
Tahu....i believe he will make a great center but will need some games to get used to the play....lets hope he isnt suspended so he can work on that!
and finally robinson....he will be replace by hindy next week and will come off the bench...and from there we will reep many benefits.

The game
A scrappy affair, which is no difference to other years...we always start slow so expect many of the errors to be rectafied as we get a few games under our belts.
AND please brian smith we need to work on our support play...a few yrs back this was our major strength....its seems at the moment everytime we make a break there is no one there to offload it to...once this can be fixed we will be a major threat!

well thats by thoughts n e way
(p.s. i was sitting with a few tigers fan....and all saying things like 'this smith is a good prospect' or when in attack and he had the ball 'of no takle him his dangerous' lol love hearing that....but what made my night was when one said 'geez his step is very similar to benji :D lovin it)
