As long as we get to use it, it really doesn't matter who else in the community has access to it.

I understand that and maybe if more of the community can use the place it will develop relationships with people in the $$$.

My point is why do the Eels get the added section that our facility needs to be open when other clubs wont.. Namely the Roosters.

Plus like its been mentioned we cant even put a logo on our Home ground but the Roosters can and they don't need to share the stadium with Souths..

How much public funding went into the Roosters area of Allianz Stadium? I suspect zero, in fact I believe that the Roosters contributed financially to the project. Which is why they don't need to share it with anyone. How much money did the Parramatta Eels or Leagues Club put into the stadium at Parramatte? Again, I suspect zero.

Souths have a contract with the ANZ Stadium. I suspect if they didn't, then the Roosters wouldn't get a say.

I am fairly sure that they will have a battle on their hands even if they didn't have the current contract.
Fairly sure uncle Nick has said as much.

I suspect a large chunk of Government funding went into all the stadiums.

Infrastructure NSW and Venues NSW have confirmed that the cost of building Sydney’s new Allianz Stadium went 20% over budget, costing $828 million against $729 million allocated by the NSW Government in 2019.

The rebuilt venue, will host its first matches today, a NRLW-NRL double-header, following a community open day last Sunday,

While Infrastructure NSW told a budget estimates hearing on Thursday it expected a final bill of $820 million, falling under the revised budget, an additional $53.7 million is also attributable to the reconstruction of Venues NSW facilities.

Those facilities including a members’ aquatic and fitness facility, had, according to Venues NSW Chief Executive Kerrie Mather been demolished to make way for the stadium reconstruction.

The promise to rebuild Allianz Stadium (Sydney Football Stadium) and Accor Stadium (Stadium Australia) in Sydney Olympic Park was a polarising issue at the 2019 NSW election while demands from the Australian Rugby League Commission and NRL to develop other stadia across Sydney remain controversial.

They're all government funded, but the Roosters choose to contribute financially to the Allianz Stadium project to have their CoE housed there. I'm sure we could've done the same thing when they were building Comm Bank/Wank Best, but declined.

At some point in time I suspect Souths will return to Allianz, you really only need a change of Government to nullify the contract if both parties are in agreeance.

The Parramatta Eels have appointed Kane Constructions NSW to deliver its Centre of Excellence (COE) and Community Facility at Kellyville Park.

Construction is scheduled to begin by the end of the month; however, the initial launch phase and site establishment is already underway.

Kane Constructions NSW General Manager Brett Moore said the company is extremely proud to be partnering with the Parramatta Eels.

“Projects such as this are transformational, not only for the future generations of Eels and their support staff, but also for the wider community as a whole. Our Kane team look forward to an award winning outcome, and will take great pride in exceeding the expectations of everyone involved at every level,” said Mr Moore.

Upon completion, the Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence will be the largest rugby league facility in Australia with five natural turf fields, a world-class gym, cardio and yoga rooms for players, theatre and review rooms, aquatic rehabilitation facilities and a café.

The Community Facility building will be part of an international standard match venue with a 1,500-seat grandstand, multi-purpose function and community education rooms to enable the club to expand its community programs and initiatives, gym, match day media rooms, change rooms, kiosk and parking.

Parramatta Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos said the project aimed to create a world-class rugby league facility that catered for the club’s NRL and NRLW teams, emerging football talent, staff and the wider community.

“From best-in-class high performance resources to community engagement, the Eels Centre of Excellence will be home to our NRL, NRLW and Elite Pathways teams,” Mr Sarantinos said.

“It will increase participation across all forms of rugby league for boys and girls from grassroots to elite in one of the fastest-growing regions in Australia, and will strengthen our connection with the Eels community of more than 35,000 members and 800,000 fans”.

Jointly funded by the NSW Government, Federal Government, Hills Shire Council and Parramatta Leagues Club, the Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence is scheduled for completion in 2025.

That bit is pretty cool, hopefully we can now attack an outside back.

I would be curious to know how much Hills Shire Council is tipping in for this project.

Having done work for them in the past 12 months.

Compared to other councils we deal with in Sydney they are one of the hardest to deal with.

No f**ken hairdresser??????????

They are freakin expensive now. Even my old barber that used to be $5 a pop back in the day is now charging $28 freakin bucks.

Outrageous inflation. Only 2-3 years ago, used to be $13, then $15, then $18, then $20, then $22 and now a wack and a half at $28.

Where can a man go now for a simple short back and sides that doesn't fleece his wallet along with his hair?
