Kelepi certainly looked strong. Good on him for landing a life changing contract. Shame that we could not compete with the $$ and nice of us to let him go early.

ZDC was OK but as many have said he needs to make better decisions more often.

Tui looks good. He's come a long way from the skinny 400m runner.

Falou ? To me he's a typical NYC player. Does something great and then something stupid. Something great, then stupid ...etc

Agreed Tui Kamikamica looked much better (and bigger) than last I saw him. He's actually a pretty good defender.

I think the criticism of ZDC is a bit overstated, whether it is next year or the year after, I think he will be solid to above average half.

His attack has been quite potent for a couple of years now in the 20s meaning he has been a fairly obvious talent years ahead of schedule

Kelepi is strong, will be interesting to see how he goes at the Cowboys. He is quite short by NRL forward standards.

I think Davis, Matterson and Goodall all have what it takes to make it to NRL level in the backs.

Will Moeroa play next week?

Watched the C grade (18 & 19s) Division 1 grand final between Mounties and Hills, yesterday. Good game of football, well done to the Hills boys beating the minor premiers Mounties in a close one: 14-12.

He didn't get an upgrade at the Cowboys.

He is on the same money there next year.

J, interested in your opinion, how would you have handled recent recruitment / retention?

The likes of those couple of Reggie's, kelepi, watmo, wicks and what we already have recently re-signed.

Tonight is just the Div2/3 trials to see if they shape up to go to next weeks Div 1 trials in Ball

There were 9 players from the lower div trials in Matts they were asked to back up next week with the Div 1 trials, Matts appears very strong , next week will be the ones to attend

The one I'm interested to see from our Matts this year is Tuimavave Afualo. He lined up in the centres this year as a 15 year old and was named in the Australian 15's merit team at centre but I've seen that he's trialing as an edge back-rower.

Luke Moeroa any relation to Tep?

Afualo has been put in the back row to,up his work rate, still seen as a centre but they want him to get more involved and will use the trials for this

Moeroa is not related, just a Samoan name, and we have plenty of them :)

Yeah fair enough, I used to work with a mother who has a son that plays for Cabra and he's trialing for the Harold Mats for the first time this year as a 16 year old and she was telling me about Tui. If he continues his progression I think he'll be a handy player, he's already a big boy.

Ahh right. Well hopefully he's as skillful at halfback as Tep is in the second-row. Although I'm expecting to see Alex Seve really stand up and do well in the comp this year.

Eels vs Warriors next week.
Minor premiers out in straight sets.

Number 8 for Warriors is a beast (of what I saw in the match as I didn't watch all that much)

Thats a good thing i suppose??? 40 would be the best judge i would expect.

Of what I saw today, the Knights seemed to be off their game.
Really the Knights were warm favourites to win the premiership before the finals started.
Now?
Wide open race I suppose.
