Easy linebreak for Gafa (#5, whoever at this point) and he has two men on his inside to beat the fullback with. He looks for the long ball to the #1 (again, not sure who now) but it clips his shoulder and a try goes begging.

Thanks Del, he has looked pretty good - although plenty of us would have also looked good on the end of this backline today. His workrate up the middle was also commendable.

That was odd, tehre was a kickoff for the 2nd quarter but Wests played out their final tackle just then.

Either way, Parra get the ball.

Luck favouring the team hammering the Tigers now as a stab-kick catches a wicked bounce back to the Eels down their right edge and it is gathered up for another try. Didn't catch the try scorer there, sorry.

Solid kick from the #18 for Parra to finish that set. Old fashioned territorial footy there.

Wests reply with an excellent kick of their own that is fielded 1m in Parra's in goal. This is better stuff from Wests, although it looks to be against the fringe Parra talent.

Charge down on the last but some desperation work from the right winger earns possession back for Parra, although we turn the ball over shortly after.

Finally the Tigers breach Parra's line!

Took some effort too as a kick if fielded somewhat spectacularly by the #2 for the Tigers. He then fires a bullet like offload to his secondrower who crashes over.

I have to say that I haven't really noticed the new tackling interpretation - if it has been ruled that way so far.

Good take from the Parra fullback now, that was a swirling ball and dipped at the last moment.

Not much doing though for the Eels now in attack with the first stringers getting put on ice. Though as I type this, guess what? Another error from the Tigers.

The Eels threaten from the scrum win as the spread it to the left. #22 is hit by a sniper before the line and goes down without a hand on him. He recovered quickly to play the ball.

#18 steps out of dummy half and looks for a sneaky grubber into the in goals but it is quickly scooped up by the alert fullback.

Wests to work it out now.

The Tigers recover a charge down now but time is called off at the Parra #13 fails to get off the ground.

The trainer is out but he is able to walk off without aid.

Wests resume play on halfway.

There is a surging run down the left by the #2 for Wests but he is pulled down after some considerable effort.

Technically that is a completed set as the Tigers are caught on the last but Parra give them another crack as they in turn trade possession over.

The Eels repel the initial charges at their goal line but they can't keep the #7 out for the Tigers as he fends his way through for an easy try.

The comeback continues as Wests trail Parra 12-48

There is some lovely play now for Parra as a series of offloads sees #20 cross.

There is just enough time for the kick off but the Eels heave the ball over the sideline to bring an end to the game.
