We come undone again on the last. We don't seem to realise the tackle count from dummy half and Fuimoano gets the ball and has to kick. He tries to chip it over the line but it is deflected right into the Storm's hands.

What the f**k is going on?

Melbourne squander another chance, this time off a grubber kick. They roll it in behind our posts and have the leading chaser but he can't ground it.

We race out for the 20m restart and Davis looks set to race away and score but the ref calls play back as the tap was not taken correctly apparently.

In small solace, we pick up a penalty a few tackles later.

Alex Twal does it all himself now. Tremendous effort as he storms through the ruck defence of the Storm to score next to the posts.

Conversion is successful.

There's been a few things in this game that has made me wonder about the quality of refereeing in the league but this one just took the cake.

Quick 20 metre tap option and we were going to score and the refs calls it back because he claims he didn't touch it with his foot, which he absolutely did. They just don't like tries being scored when the defence isn't ready, even though they changed the rule so that could happen.

What a disgrace!

Luckily we scored anyways but FMD these merkins are useless and going backwards every week!

Very well taken by Dargan on the kick off there. Races back to take it cleanly and save a line drop out.

WTF is it now? Ref has no clue. Admittedly it was a a stupid offload from Amone but it clearly went backwards and was cleaned up but he has found a knock on somewhere. Terrible f**king call.

2 in the tackle strip? They let the Storm score anyways though so it matters little. Just add it to the refs tally today.

Much better hustle on the line now as we force the ball loose and Raeli cleans it up. He hurt himself there though and has come straight off.

Solid run and offload from Twal as he finds French. We then almost crack them open down our right but the Storm make what I am almost certain was a 2-on-1 strip and race away to score. Parra players look stunned and immediately appeal to the ref while French very nearly makes the try saver but the ref wants no part of it.

We are getting caned by the ref today. No doubt about it.

Melbourne with a bucket load of momentum now as they earn a penalty for offside defenders.

Good tackle from Gafa down our left to kill the movement. Time off after the next tackle as one of the Storm's kids goes down in a tackle.

Melbourne are held up over the line from the resumption of play. They are throwing some stupid offloads but are getting away with it and on the last they score off a kick. Bombed Gafa again and the Melbourne jumper gets inside him for the jump. Comes down with it and scores despite the attention of Gafa and Davis.

Conversion is unsuccessful.

We certainly have our own issues but f**k the ref is terrible.

He just gave the storm a penalty and his single appeared to be that we had a ruck infringement but it was a completely clean ruck and the cheats player played the ball without issue.

We are a dumb club when it comes to football smarts and we'd be losing the game anyway but this red doesn't really seem to be up to officiating this level.

He didn't rule offside, he was doing some circle motion, it was weird.

Well that was exciting although came to nothing. Melbourne gun for the 40/20 but French races back to stop it. He gets a nice bounce and then races off down the left. Takes on the defenders down the sideline and is JUST pulled down but not tackled. He tries to offload to Davis who misses it but Izzard cleans up but the touchy has a flag up. The home fans boo ferociously on that sideline, they do not agree with the call at all.

And as I plod along typing that up the Storm butcher another try. A few questionable passes in the lead up that probably would have been called against us today but their winger grasses the final ball none the less.

See the ref doesn't need to help them, we just passed the ba straight to them so they could score.

Miski is back out on the wing as we turn the ball over. Muna threw an offload that doesn't go to hand and the Storm has a bludging forward (he didn't get back into the line) that cleans it up.

Melbourne then cross down the edge they have blown a few chances. Miski and Fuimaono the culprits there. They shut down the first play but got lazy on the dummy half effort from the Storm's winger.

Conversion is successful from out wide.

That'll just about do me, we make a break and French has hands all over him while he is looming up in support and of course as soon as he gets the ball he is bought down. No penalty.

Thankfully we end up scoring but once again, this guy is looking one way and one way only.

Doolan playing in the halves now. Down the right edge he is. Izzard has pushed into hooker.

We hold Melbourne out although we fall off quite a few tackles that set.

Another lovely pass from Dargan to Davis who breaks through, he passes inside to French who is close to getting tackled with out the ball.

We have our kick charged down on the last but Fuimaono fields the rolling pill and makes a terrific run infield before offloading to Markus. Jeff is pulled down but on the next tackle Josh Aloiai has a huge carry into the line and fights his way over. Great individual effort - feels like most of our tries are a result of them.

Dargan trips over himself taking the ball on this kick. Holds onto it though and then links up with TTS. Have to say that he has thrown some amazing passes to Davis.

Fuimaono and Markus make some good in roads.

Dargan and Davis get Gafa into a half gap but he hasn't got the pace and heads infield.

We send up a huge bomb on the last that ends up with Doolan scoring under the posts!

Think it was Miski that took the ball initially before offloading to Doolan. Mick still had to fight through a tackle and roll away to then plant the ball.

French to TTS who makes a good charge. Twal up next with the Eels then spinning it. We get Miski into space but he hasn't got the pace to break free downfield. Still pinches 30m.

We look for a left edge shift but the Storm jam French hard to bring up the last.

Throwing caution to the wind with the game still on the line we run down the left edge short side on the last! Izzard takes it down the way to Dargan and both he and Davis show poise to throw perfect passes that lead to Gafa crashing over in the corner!

Is the comeback real?

French to Twal this kick off. Storm look to put a shot on him but the just rolls through it.

Massive run to TTS, should have got a penalty there for holding down.

Bustling run to Aloiai as Parra get into the Storm's half.

Dargan bombs it on the last and the contest is fierce but the Storm come down with it. Time off as the Storm player stays down - looks to be a cramp.

Great set but we just come short.

Good defence this set.

Gafa fields the kick and makes 15m on the return. Miski comes infield for a carry with Twal up next. Twal offloads and Izzards loses it backwards. Phew.

Good run from Doolan as a result of that sloppy second phase play though.

Dargan takes a hospital ball and is hammered but there was a blatant penalty for holding down missed on the prior tackle. Ref has zero clue.

French kicks in behind on the last but the fullback is well positioned.
