Yeah, I dont really understand why Manly have done that. Do they actually want to win HMs comps? It certainly isnt developing the game in the Manly area.
It would be great if we poach their best performers like that Schuster kid.

It's not about developing the local comp. NRL clubs don't actually care about that. They want spectators, which means a strong NRL team. So are they trying to develop first graders? They have a couple of kids who look like they have potential. But otherwise they're doing what Gus accused us of doing - filling the team with giants who run over the top of their smaller opponents. Manly's Harold Matts team looks like ours from a decade ago.

Game finishes 24-12 as Blaise Talagi deservedly scores right on the bell, he and centre Charlie Guymer have been our best today. Congrats to Manly who have been the best team today and all season. Our lads have had a great season and can hold their heads high.

I stopped watching HMs at 2012.

Wrong, they recruit from Westfields Sports High where they employ the sports master in their system, and sundry Parra players who are transported 2/3 times a week into their junior rep teams for training and games. Very few from Blacktown if any at all. They recruit into Blacktown Workers reserve grade from basically the players that are leftovers mostly from Parra/Riff to ensure they have a sort of competitive team.
