Anyway with Mahoney doing well opportunities will be limited for dummy halves unless they are elite.

I'll get back to you shortly. You arent going to agree with me, but I do have a point.

Essentially, I'd make it 3 rounds then finals.

"Leading player agent Sam Ayoub has had some of the best halves in the game’s history on his books, most notably Johnathan Thurston.

He reckons the issue is a NSW problem because NRL clubs have too much influence on junior teams.

“They’re coaching the daylights out of their players here in NSW, whereas in Queensland they’re not in a structured NRL system,” Ayoub

Thats from a sydney morning herald article. I cant stand Ayoub but this is how I feel about HM & SG ball and NRL clubs having too much influence in juniors.

that is an indictment on our system
One of the jobs of the system is to identify who does and doesn't have NRL potential. Some decisions take longer than others but you're off your head if you think every kid in our pathways program should become an NRL player. It's not the case at Penrith or any other club.

Not sure the coaching system has necessarily the same opinion as PouPou, you can choose to believe he knows things when he lives interstate. Your call.
I could live across the road and know as much as I do from here. If we prioritised Schneider's development he would still be training full time, instead of the younger kids who replaced him in the development squad.

If you've got contrary evidence feel free to share instead of making smartarse comments. You've heard nothing about Schneider because he's dropped off the club's radar. You're normally fairly quick to bignote your inside info any other time.

Playing manly at Leichhardt 1pm. Stream via NSWRL TV

I'm surprised Manly are so strong in that age group. I would've thought this is mostly local players at this stage? I also note the Faids ran last in the comp this year.

Interestingly enough the Roosters have run last twice in the last decade in the Harold Matthews and never won a Harold Matthews Premiership in the 50-year history of the comp. Parra has won 40% of the Harold Matthews comps.

As a matter of interest, for those in the know, how many players that grew up playing in the Parramatta district competition have gone on to play NRL for the club in recent seasons? Obviously neither D Brown or Mahoney are local juniors. Is Kaufusi?
