Cool how they dropped him down two grades from NSW Cup just for this match.

Last month or so …

Interesting the Raiders were minor premiers in Ball but are rubbing last in Flegg. An indicator of the club’s strategy. I wonder how many games this kid played in under 21s. He might’ve bypassed it completely.

This Raiders side was dominant and they haven't turned up. I don't think the week off is very helpful for players this age. Of the four Harold Matts and SG Ball teams to have the week off last week (all top two finishers), three have lost, and the team that won only got up by two points.

did the raiders play north qld in north qld last week?

They don’t train full time so they are better off playing every week. Whatever benefit they get from a rest is canceled out by the loss of momentum from waiting two weeks between games.

Well I gave you the stat of 75% of favourites losing after the week off. If their opponents were backing up from playing in the tropics it might’ve been different. We’ll never know.
True, we'll never know.

Better still, if you could stop dishing up random tangential stats in threads that have nothing to do with the discussion, we'd never know what we'll never (need to) know...

Actually I have a theory about the week off, and it’s interesting when results support it. In this case I thought the week off for the Raiders was our best chance of beating them. Of course it could just be coincidence. Maybe their coach is to blame.

I see Manly are debuting another Parra junior this week. Fair play to them, but we need to do better and they need to f**k off more.

Judging by their Harold Matts and Eshay Ball results, their recruitment from Blacktown dropped off a year or two ago.

SG ball win 14 - 6. Through to the GF playing Newcastle who are led by former Eel Myles Martin. Thought Blaize Talagi, Lance Fualema & Sam Tuivati played great. Raiders gun fullback Chevy Stewart had an extremely quiet game which helped.
I thought Stewart played with an attitude of "I'm too good for these blokes. I'm better than this grade"...and after the game, realised, he wasn't.
Sanders, Lance Fualema, Matt Arthur, Charlie Guymer and Dom (No 11) were good all game. Good tough win..
