Mooney has huge wraps from the recruitment staff, would likely play centre if all forwards available. Sam Hughes is a terrific prospect, we are seeing the benefits of junior development Fieldsy has undertaken.
Started with the 13s some 4 years ago in our own juniors, plus specific position recruiting outside.
We should be very pleased at the consistent performances at age levels. The senior coach takes significant interest , much more than those before him, and it shows.

Arthur would be the first coach since Smith to know he has a reasonably long future at the club. Could have something to do with his interest.

He actually takes a real interest , don't believe it's anything to fo with his contract. He has a passion for the club, that's the reason as those that attend junior matches know.

Saw Mooney at the North Sydney game with a cast on his wrist. From the little I saw of him he's a good prospect and he has another year of Harold Matthews left (I think).

And that group that he has nutured is all 18 now, and has the largest presence in the 18's pathways squad.

Schipperke from Illawarra was best player on field against the Eels, carved us up in the only defeat so far this season.

I understand that the whole getting to go to the Olympics gig might considerably trump a career in rugby league on a personal level but 10.52 ain't winning you shit. In fact, 10.52 didn't win you shit unless you go all the way back to Antwerp 1920 (10.8 Gold) or maybe Melbourne 1956 (10.5 Gold).

Best of luck to him though. We are all about Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens now.

Olympic qualifying time of 10.16.... Not a Chance...

Jordan Shelley should go join a college program. Run track, play wide receiver and get a degree.

Matts were up 38-0 at half time, took th front row off and mixed the team up to give everyone a run ( they rested at least 5 players for the game)

Service from dummy half was much slower after Jed Edwards departed, still too slick and strong for a team that played Wednesday night. Some good signs ahead if all the players fit in next week , when everyone except Henry Hall is available. Been a season where a lot of bench players have played significant minutes. In many ways they will be in the mix if their structure is able to use the better players who have played very few games but are now ready . For instance , without Hall they can still field a first choice pack with everyone except the hooker over 6' tall, mobile and strong - but they haven't played in the same team once this season

Best players were the starting front row. Hollis , Edwards and Faavae backed by the running game of half Tyler Field and the left side of Byrd and Stewart who both grabbed a double.

Didn't stay for long as the Ball were too slick and strong for West Coast, an initiative of the NRL who fund it for around $100k per season, obviously needs a lot more attention.

They have also made the East Coast Dolphins 25-man squad for the first time this year, which they describe as a “completely different level” to regular club footy.

Ulysses recently captained the Kempsey Sharks United under 15s side at the 2016 Koori Knockout where they were runners up, and was also named in the indigenous under 16s side who will play a curtain-raiser to the All Stars in February.

Ulysses was named at lock for the NSW Country U16 side to tour NZ.

ParraThruandThru, at the game, pointed out about the SG ball team was that we didn't try to score off every play. We could have gone out there and just thrown the ball around with reckless abandon and still won by 70. But we worked through our sets and that's how we were able to score 96.
