Greg Leleisiuao is turning some heads in the wider NRL fan base.

Eels winger Greg Leleisiuao had a field day against the struggling Warriors, scoring a try, running for 247 metres and breaking a whopping 18 tackles as his side claimed a comfortable win on the road.”

And from my First Quarter Review posted today on TCT:

Honourable Mention #2 – Greg Leleisiuao

Greg Leleisiuao can perhaps count himself unlucky not to feature higher up on this list [Holden Cup MVP], such has been his impact since debuting for the Eels in Round 3. The wrecking ball winger has quickly made himself indispensable to the team and while his incredible offensive production (165m/game, 13.53m/run, 1LB/game, 1OL/game, 9.75TB/game) will have plenty of fans salivating, it is the reliability that he has shown in defence that has pricked my attention. As it stands the biggest knock on him is a lack of height – he was last billed at 180cm as far as I can find – but he might possess the talent to transcend that handicap.

That is actually a very reasonable player comp. I like it and will be shamelessly stealing it moving forwards.

Well, the headgear and the height certainly align.

In terms of the running style, he reminds of some NFL running backs. He gets low just before impact and rises with power.

PS: I'm basing this on watching one game. Doesn't stop anyone else, so why not.

Half time in the SG Ball. Parramatta lead the Bulldogs 28-6. Another clinical half from our boys. They finished the final 7 or so minutes playing with 12 men after Ethan Parry was binned for something after the Dogs instigated a scuffle.

Full time in the SG Ball. We went on with the demolition job and brought up the 50 burger. Canterbury went down 52-12 and like the Matts, Parra have the week off as a result.

Two errors in those lists from NRL News. Danny Levi never played NRL for the Broncos. Another Danny Levi played NYC though. Also Brendan Frei hasn't played NRL for the Roosters yet.
