Well that was a fun game to live blog. The young kids in this team are starting to come good. Some of the highlights today from my coverage include:

Utoikamanu and Aukafolau get their hands on the ball before Leleisiuao brushes off a stack of tacklers and somehow make a break up the middle! He just streaks through and then breaks the ankle of the fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen (sp) with a left, right, left, right footwork combination! That was nasty. He juked the fullback out of his boots.

OH MY LORD. FAINGAA HAS MURDERED SOMEONE. That was one of the most brutal hits I have seen in some time as Faingaa perfectly lines up the culprit that sucker punched Layoun a set ago. Forces the ball loose as well. Incredible defensive play.

Wests keep it simple as they work around the ruck before bombing Fonua. The young winger takes it with all the time in the world before flicking an offload to Aukafolau who makes a great 30m carry. The Tigers are firmly on the backfoot this set and a quality offload from Afualo to Matterson gets the half surging forwards before he sells a dummy that would make a gypsy proud to cut through the line and race a good 45m to score.

It is always easier to write fun, goofy shit when your team is dropping 40 points on the opposition.

40/20 is GL signed or in BA plans? Commentstors mentioned if form continues will play first grade this season but not sure who with.

I reckon it would have been Andy Raymond that said it. He is a one-eyed Parra fan and shares the odd bit of mail on Fox with this stuff.

I don't think Greg Leleisiuao and Dane Aukafolau have long left in the 20s this year. We have some genuine options in the SG Ball in Haze Dunster, Ethan Parry and Dane's younger brother Noel that can replace them in a month or so. Troy Dargan will probably make the full time switch as well.

GL is a real talent.
What the go with this Ray Stone. I liked the look of his frame and work rate.
Looks a excellent future to me. Best tackler in team. Wraps ball up and hits well.

It won't happen but Parramatta could conceivably field the entire NSW U/18s backline this year. Tui Afualo (centre) and Johnny Fonua (wing) are NYC mainstays while Haze Dunster (centre/wing) and Noel Aukafolau (centre) have both been graded this year. Back in SG Ball, Ethan Parry (centre/wing) and John Paul Nohra (fullback) tore the competition a spare sphincter this year.

We pinched him from the Tigers. Good, no-nonsense forward. Played edge and prop for the Tigers last year - essentially where ever the team needed him to play. Smashes heads in when defending and doesn't stop in attack. I had some concerns over size when we picked him up but he seems to be a reasonable build.

Lomax and Afualo the incumbents. Throw in Kris from the Raiders, and Graham from the Rabbitohs. No clear cut favourite for the fullback spot so Nohra could firm for that or they could bring in Laurie from the Panthers or Hoy from the Knights.

Isn't Dunster a Kiwi?

He's got the height. Could put on 10 kilos fairly comfortably.
