Just a heads up for anyone who was planning to watch junior reps this weekend NSWRLTV have put their content behind a subscription based App.
The upside is that there is at least an expectation of some minimum standard of quality. If the broadcast is less shit than it was then I'll probably pay for it.

I downloaded the Apple TV app and started the 14 day trial.

It appears that they will have every game from Matts all the way up to NSW Cup including the ladies available to view every week. So if true, all clubs all grades, it's a game changer and well worth $50 per year as we only ever get highlights at best weekly and full games monthly or so.

I coukd be wrong so don't leap in. YMMV.

Yeah, you’re right. Only two Ball and two Matts games.

I see that they are doing every womans NSW Cup live and exclusive.

Nothing said about Mens NSW Cup or Flegg.

Time will tell if it works out. I don’t really facebook, so I found tracking down highlights difficult previously. It will be nice to have a central location to find highlights to all matches. I get that I shouldn’t be behind a paywall, but I assume that the website will still have some content?

Eels won Matts 6 tries to 1 vs Warriors.

I will watch the game later on Apple TV, but the quality looks sweet and FMD back in the day Harrold Matts were skinny little kids. They all look as big as NRL players.

The half from Rouse Hill Lincoln Fletcher looks ok. One of those new tall halfbacks. Kicks goals, runs to the line with the ball in two hands.

The fullback Cyrus Bloomfield. Speed. Oakhill College. Already selectedby the Waratahs in junior squads.

Ocean Vaivela is a big merkin. He played last year in Matts.

Good win from Matts. Vaivela, Talagi & Leota were the standouts for me with dominant performances in the middle. A stack u16 players in this team and you could see them start to show their quality as the game went on. NZ played really tough, if they can clean up the errors they’ll have a decent season.

SG Ball pulled it out of the fire in the last quarter against a good Warriors side. Raft of new combinations in this grade so they’ll need time to gel. To my eye Jezaiah Funa-Iuta & Seb Piakula were our best on field with new hooker Camilleri showing some good flashes too.

Warriors found it tough as the game progressed as they haven’t had the Div 1 Sydney tough comps as a weekly competition, having said that they will improve and end up with more wins than losses. This week was a good imitation for the teams.

Eels look Ok across the board, a young Matts team and a lot of newcomers in the Ball, interesting times ahead .

Talagi was incredible in the middle, believe he played the entire first half and then came back on later in the game too. The middle of him, Vaivela, Ong, Funa-Iuta will give the spine so much room to work with. I think once Cyrus settles down a bit he can be a great player, despite being a year young he was hard to stop but there were times he overplayed his hand or just needed to tuck the ball and run. This will come with time and experience but what a first game of junior reps for the young man.

The ball was a bit harder to pick standouts. When the team completed each player did their part and when they weren't it was also a team effort. But you're right on Seb Piukala, he can certainly find an offload, I'd like to see Talataina in time follow him around the ruck. That combination could be lethal.

Talagi certainly was immense OA. Seems to have knack for finding his front through tackles and plays with physicality in defence.
Agree completely with Bloomfield. Obvious the kid has serious talent but still very green. The progression of these u16 players will be the key to their chances this season.

I know Cyrus is only 16. Do you know which others in the squad are a year young?
