I don't doubt he is a good player but like I said I have watched a few games of his now and not overly impressed..

I wasn't impressed with anyone that was pick for the Aussie school boys side this year actually

Fair enough, I personally rate them all very highly from the Parra 4. Sangalang though for me was probably my 4th pick of the lot.

I will say this, Sangalang left because he felt he was being treated poorly. He started SG ball last season as the 18th man and then found a spot on the bench for majority of the season. I don’t think he was treated poorly, it’s just that we seem to rate Popo much higher than him

And to be fair, Sangalang still had a year of SG Ball eligibility to go. He is 19 next year.

Jacob Halangahu and Cody Hopwood are both highly rated and played flegg this year. Cody got a game in NSW cup. Fair effort for 18 year olds.

I think the half Woods is rated by the dogs too.

Halangahu has a long way to go if he wants to be a standout forward in the NRL. I was really disappointed with his PNG game.

Woods is overrated isn't a Halfback probably a 5/8 but Burton is the Dogs 5/8.

A father and "best mate" has passed away after being allegedly assaulted at a Sydney pub earlier this week.
Paul Griffin, 55, was allegedly struck at the Ettamogah Hotel on Merriville Road in Kellyville Ridge, in Sydney's north-west, about 8pm on Tuesday.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital where he was put on life support.

Absolutely terrible. I was hit in the back of the head while helping a mate and then had 4 guys kick the shit out of me while I was the ground. When I hear something like this happen I think back and think I’m lucky that could have been me.


The guy was massive, one broken nose, one concussion, 2 black eyes and a couple of broken ribs later lesson learned. I never go anywhere especially a pub and not know my surroundings and who’s behind me. The cops refused to press charges the footage went missing and it was their word against ours and we admitted we were quite drunk. This was over 20 years ago I reckon they might of done a lot more now.

A father and "best mate" has passed away after being allegedly assaulted at a Sydney pub earlier this week.
Paul Griffin, 55, was allegedly struck at the Ettamogah Hotel on Merriville Road in Kellyville Ridge, in Sydney's north-west, about 8pm on Tuesday.

Griffo was a great man who did a lot for the community not only in the hills area with sport but business as well.

The godfather of the Hills Bulls.

His loss will be felt for a long, long time.

He was one of those people no matter how drinks he had he never changed his personality and always willing to help anyone and always a man of his word.

I expect the celebration of life will be held at Crestwood Oval the home of the Bulls where Griffo would have wanted to it be which was his home.

And there probably isn't place around here big enough for everyone to attend and pay there respects.

I got hit around 20 years ago out at Wests Leagues at Cambelltown.
Some bloke didn't like the look of my mate (who is Asian). This arsehole just walked up to my mate straight on and pushed him in the chest.
Next thing I know I'm on the ground with my drink spilled all. over me. Apparently the arsehole's mate came up behind me and clocked me right int he head with a punch before I had any idea what was going on. They obviously planned it and thought as I'm a pretty big guy to take me out first so they could get my mate.

Little did they know my mate is quite the scrapper. Held his own against the two of them. Even picked up a chair and threw it at one of them at some point. They got kicked out and banned. We were back the next day, with very sore jaws. drinking away the pain.

I am, the two girls we were with made us go to the cops. We found out later the bloke who clocked me was a mid range drug dealer and the couple of idiots who started the blue with my mate worked for him. The security guards also were on his pay roll no wonder the footage went missing. His defence was me and my mate started it lol. The guy that hit me looked like Vulcan from Gladiators. I’m a little crazy but not totally insane ffs!!

The Parramatta Eels are thrilled to announce the extension of three exceptional Australian Schoolboys representatives—Lincoln Fletcher, Ryda Talagi, and Lachlan Coinakis—through to the end of the 2027 season. This exciting development highlights the Club’s unwavering commitment to nurturing junior talent and fostering homegrown players.

The trio has risen through the Eels Pathways system, showcasing their skills and determination during standout seasons that earned them Australian Schoolboys selection this year. Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill, expressed his pride in the achievements of the Club’s local talent.


“Lincoln, Ryda, and Lachlan are impressive young athletes who have truly earned their Australian Schoolboys honors this year. We remain committed to the continued development of our players and look forward with great anticipation as they progress through the grades,” said O’Neill.

Each player has made significant contributions to their respective teams. Lincoln Fletcher, a talented half-back and goal kicker, was the second-highest point scorer in the Harold Matthews Competition this year. Ryda Talagi’s exceptional performance earned him the Parramatta Eels Harold Matthews Cup Best Forward Award, both contributing to a team that remained undefeated throughout the regular season. Lachlan Coinakis, who is a tough competitor, had impressive performances in the SG Ball competition despite missing the early rounds due to injury.

The trio will continue their progression through the Eels Pathways system starting in the SG Ball team next season.
