finally, after all these years
Just trying to make clear that, while a young player’s NRL potential might be an objective fact, it’s not a fact anyone can know until the end of his career.

Even the blokes paid to make these judgements don’t know any of it for certain, which is why you get duds on full time contracts who never quite make it. It’s a numbers game.

But here’s a reminder that I said in 2023 that the SG Ball members most likely to make it were Talagi, Sanders and Tuivaiti. Two years later, all three were on top 30 contracts. Anyway here’s hoping Talagi and Sanders fail.

No it's not a numbers game. Some people are just better judges of ability but also character then others and have a higher strike rate. Of course some will fail. They are humans and emotions come into play and life factors. Just becuase they play league doesnt exempt them from a personal crisis or change in attitude. Especially at the age where they are tasting a lot of pussy, starting to drink and partying.

How has he played? I noticed last week he made 4 tackles in a row and is very strong. Especialy in defense. His leg speed is a bit slow compared to a few other forwards tho. Kinda ploughs forward like a tractor.
He’s first stint was solid but mostly had to defend. His second stint was exceptional and he showed some nice leg drive for PCM in most of his runs. I totally see the tractor analogy and I’d say it’s dues to his Union background - similar to Stephen Nunn. Picked up a nice try for his efforts.

I get that Poops, but you've totally missed the point.

You've been accused many times of offering your opinion as fact, and to avoid that, all you need to do is add those 3 letters.

Yes it is.

This is what makes it a numbers game ffs. As soon as you accept the idea that ratios are involved (e.g. win rate, strike rate, etc.) you admit it's a numbers game. That you means you can't just point at a single fail and claim it proves your shit point. You need to look at the data as a whole to understand the success/failure rate.

The people that matter here are smart enough to know the difference between opinion and fact. Every now and then I'll throw a bone to the dummies and spell it out for them (imo).

That is an extraordinarily "up yourself" comment.
I'd suggest you take some advice from Twiz.
It also proves that you are trolling, admitting that you throw bones out to "dummies".
