Agree there has got to be ability and depth to sustain a decent comp. Otherwise it will be laughed at an die a quick death.

If you want the comp to grow, the best bet is that you have a short sharp comp which highlights the talent and grows the supporter base.

probabaly a good move from the Bernster, I mean 4 teams, the whole thing is over in a month or so and really wont generate much revenue and for a club that is rebuilding it probabaly makes sense to wait till there is more money in it

At the 2000 Olympics I remember seeing womans soccer match before mens game at the SFS. Very ordinary.

Seriously though if I was part of the marketing of the WNRL I would have the ladies playing in those Lorna Jane type performance pants rather than mens footy shorts.
I say that for several reasons:
1. They look awesome and sex sells.
2. When has anyone ever seen a woman getting around in footy shorts out of her own free will in comparison to how often you see women wearing performance pants around the place (I see this everywhere and....I watch) so obviously women like wearing/exercising in performance pants and dont like wearing footy shorts.
