gee you dont realise just how steep it is till you get up close and personal

Also, at the 46 second mark, you see two workers walking around the top tier. It just show's how large and high it is.
This stadium is going to be f**king awesome. Except for the champaign side.

Stadium service folk, the people who take your cash, for the pies and stuff, they get paid ok.

But I say we don’t agree to pay $10 a coke etc.

So have the Wanderers agreed to terms to play out of WSS, as wasn’t that the reason the club gave for not being able to provide this kind of coverage of the stadium?

Seems an opportune time to get some shares in or become a supplier to Venues Live ( owner of wss).

We all know how this story is going to end.

Of course official water diviner’s will be brought in to detect people smuggling in tap water instead of paying their $8 for sparkling warragamba springs inside.

The whole show was always designed to further impoverish people and take their cash. It was never about actually helping the sporting public.

White elephant. I’d say demolish it and bring the pool back. Borrow the high schools Oval to play, next to the walkway where that nice Indian lady was murdered. They still haven’t solved that:pensive: The cops tried very hard though.

This video might not be everyone's cup of tea as it's from the Wanderer's, but it gives some good views of the stadium.

No - it wont be everyone's cup of tea, but given the Wanderers seem to be providing the best content and updates then I am sure everyone will appreciate them. I know the club is in dispute, but the general updates and video content from the club have been pretty poor.

Perhaps the wanderers see an advantage in breaking ranks.

In the old days they would have been called scabs and rats.

No blinking eels. As a fully paid up member of the licenced club, I won’t allow it. Not on my watch.

It will be a major political screw up if venues live don’t see things our way. White elephant lol. Election pending early next year. Go hard eels.

We dont even know if we are playing there, so promoting it may be a bit premature.

We may very well end up there eventually when calm heads prevail but for now we are in limbo so I dont have a problem with the club not promoting it currently.

My take is that they had to present a viable business model for the stadium to go ahead and in doing that, the NSW Gov fudged (inflated) the tenancy expectations and revenue.

There is a compromise in the wings for sure. The Gov just have to ensure that the opposition can get no traction leading into the mid year state election.

Well the whispers are that the builders are in considerable difficulty as a result of under quoting- and many staff have been redeployed to other projects.

It has even been flooded a few times because the pipes were not connected properly as a result of requisite cost cutting. Then of course, it gets more expensive fixing stuff they never had to.

So they have to get further funds to complete it properly. If they have the future contracts with the clubs life is a lot easier, because it’s a guaranteed income

In these sad circumstances, the owners will be pushing extremely hard to secure their $10 cans of cokes.

Don’t be fooled by the promos, the stadium is a complete basket case. Clubs should take them to the wire.

Just goes to show everyone how hopeless these government/business enterprises can be because for many, it’s just a God given opportunity to cash up and run off.

If I were the clubs, I would take big fat political aim at it and use the kaos to save my members every red cent. Cut a deal with the opposition if I had to. Be mercenary.

Fair point but they were happy enough to allocate members their seats to a stadium we’re not currently playing out of so a little media wouldn’t go astray imo.

I am also of the understanding that the Wanderers haven't signed up yet either, yet, as you say, they are more than happy to keep providing updates. They probably know that eventually, a deal will be struck, so they are keeping the hype going.
It also must be remembered that the Wanderers won't be in the stadium until 6 months after the Eels. Yet, they are still constantly sending members reminders that priority seating will be given to members first, thus promoting further membership for this season.

Anyway, as you sort of say, it appears that the Wanderers are far more progressive in their marketing of the stadium than the Eels.
It's a no brainer that the Eels will be playing there. I know they are trying to drive a bargain rental, but geez, to keep fans interested, they should at least be showing some initiative to their fans and giving better (new) stadium updates. It's got nothing to do with promoting a stadium that we don't own or rent atm, as others have suggested.

TBH i dont give many shits if the club is providing fancy updates or not .... there are bigger things to concentrate on ... im sure we will all get a good look when its done
Sure, the coaching staff have their hands full but the media department would be looking for content during the off-season. It seems an easy win-win.

It’s not like building some units and stuff when at some point, if you can’t sell off the plan, you are going to sell them because the ready demand exist.

Instead these uttter morons build it and then work out what the demand will be afterwards.

They effect major change in the area including demolishing council ( resident) owned pools ( which have to be relocated). The traffic will be catastrophic and they haven’t addressed public transport properly at all.

And they do all of this on a wish that the clubs will accept an extremely second rate benefit which the clubs project will cost them money and drive fans away.

I mean you wouldn’t let these people run a hot dog stall because they would be stupid enough to overcharge and wonder why people are walking straight past them to the maccas they are just in front of.

With the builders going broke etc, this is just about Royal Commission territory.

I’m not suggesting corruption, they have managed to stuff it up quite legally thank you very much. They better hope that Souths and Roosters want to play and service their fans out west (badly needed imo).

It’s reminiscent of the eastern distributor. They filed for bankruptcy after a few years. And the wondrous sight of the acquisition of property for the m4 toll road at virtually at the top of the market that cost us taxpayers a pretty penny and will keep us poorer for years to come. I mean it took decades to pay off the bridge and I think the Olympic facilities are not paid off yet.

This is schools and hospital money folks. This is now.

Faced with such stupidity, my beloved eels leagues club ( in administration) looks like its run by google.

Actually, we are doing some good things the leagues club. Thinking outside the box a bit.

Probably just work out what “venues live” is doing and set about doing the exact opposite. A sound business model.

“Venues live” should renamed “ venues dead” !!
