Parramatta Stadium Rebuild and other stuff

What I keep noticing is the 2 electronic commercial display ribbons that wrap around the inside of the stadium. They are so prominent on the TV they really standout. My gaze can't help but to look at them much more often then I have ever looked at that type of thing before.

I'm sure that this will become quite evident with commercial sponsors as time goes on and a major attraction for corps and their advertised marketing budgets.

Down the track I think whoever makes money off of that will be very happy indeed. Is that space ours to sell? Anyone know, or is that VenuesLive to sell and we don't make a cent from it?

Funnily enough at the two games I don’t really notice them, I mean initially it was wow, but after that initial period , haven’t really paid attention to them or who is advertising

However at games end when the victory song is played, the many Eels swimming around those banners is an awesome look

Maybe because it is still new to me. After a few more games I may no notice them as much. Who knows? Time will tell.

I am with you, I find them dazzling. That advancement for stadia in the last few years is impressive and surely brings in better advertisement revenue than those dull old ads use to which could be great for future stadium deals etc.
I think all that money goes to the venue owner not Parra Eels.

Why do merkins keep trying to make it a competition? Both clubs can happily coexist.

You are no better than that f**kwit, Kosmina.

I don't run around saying its only cause of the eels that it was built. So when I hear them carry on I let them know what I think of the A-League and how its killed the Socceroos. It is just annoying. I couldn't give a f**k if the Wanderers play there. Just like most people couldnt give a rats about A league in general.

Aland gets advertised on the boards so I’d say we get the $$ through their sponsorship. It would be a corporate sponsorship offering I’d say.

Edit: yep, that’s the case

There are no display ribbons. Are you sure you aren’t imagining things?

I’m more worried about whether John Kosmina is going to give Rod Stewart his hair back.

Maybe I was thinking of those ribbons you were wearing in your hair at our last Bones On Bones get together.

You looked so pretty and colourful that day. Oh what a picture. Mmmm mmmm.

Just had another Wanderers supporter explain to me how you wouldn't be getting the stadium if wasn't for them.
I accidentally referred to it as Parra stadium and asked if he had checked it out. f**k they are a defensive lot.At no point did I mention it was for the EELS only. It is in Parramatta and will be known to me as Parramatta stadium.

It's pretty funny that on those digital street signs for roadwork it refers to it as Parra Stadium too......i'm sure it antagonises many people.

My office has moved in part to Parramatta so i am there 3 days a week now as my staff are located in 2 locations now but anyways, the bankwest sign is officially up on the side of the building.

Yesterday it was "West Stadium", this morning it was "ba west Stadium: and now it is complete.

People try and talk the A league up. I tried getting into it but the quality stinks. I also hope it improves and I will go to a few games. At moment it is just far to low quality to warrant the cost of a ticket. It should be $10 same as a Wenty game.

Should be played in public parks and seen for free. Absolute crap. I know it's all we have here in Oz, but really it will never get any better as long as the best players will always leave and play in the better comps in the world. Period.
