They played cricket on it too didn't they ?

Richie Benand played cricket for Cumberland back then, so yeah it was oval shaped

Leagues Club still looks the same, lol

You would hope that if they get the new stadium right, that people will comment on it in a similar way in 30 years time.

I think what FP meant is that flip up seats are the norm for new stadiums. So it's not a compromise.

The snazy new 49ers stadium even has cup holders on their comfy flip-up seats.

This would be great for normal people like eels and 49ers fans but the WSW would stand on and destroy these in 5 minutes, these people come from generations of imbeciles.

You are a dead set pest, a broken record.
We understand you don't like WSW or their supporters. But seriously, can you add anything of value to any post on here? Or do u exist solely to flame the wanderers?

Titans home ground has a capacity of 27,400 - and the Gold Coast has been a weird sporting market.

Storm home ground has a capacity of 29,500 - and there's not much demand for rectangular-field sports down there.

Broncos home ground has 52,500 capacity, and is the premier footy stadium in their city. I'd imagine this was more the prototype size for what the Baird plan originally saw as the SFS/Moore Park redeveloped ground?

The Western Sydney/Parramatta re-build would more likely have seen as one of the new 30,000-style sized grounds... but given the lack of any stakeholder interest in rebuilding/expanding SFS to 50-60,000 seat capacity, surely there is now a case to use some of that money and futureproof the size of our rebuild to at least 35,000 seats?

The Eels or Wanderers don't have to fill it every game, but at least build it so it can handle a bigger crowd now and then, without the only other option of moving a big game to Homebush.

It wont happen, but lowering prices on season & walk up tickets could help in filling a 35,000 seater stadium, and perhaps bring a fresh set of fans into the fold.
