Remind me again @Suitman why it is referred to as the largest office tower in Aus? Not being a smart arse - genuinely inquisitive as I feel like I have seen bigger office towers.

That's a reasonable question but why does it matter? We have good looking trams in this country. Oh, except for Melbourne.

The more important thing is that shit is getting done in Parra.
Church st is going to be a billion times better than it ever was, when this is finished.
Agree with that. Who gives a f**k what they look like? That’s the standard across the industry these days. No need to try and create some sort of sad imitation of old school tram.

No-one complains that all the trains look the same.

If it’s anything like George St, it will be amazing. These days when I’m down that way at the bottom of Martin Place, I feel proud that Sydney has an international classy feel.

Also, the amount of refit work that the retail sector are doing getting ready for post covid boom if astonishing. Every second building is improving their streetscape and premium brands like Dior are moving in to join LV, chanel etc.

Largest by leasable floor place. Floor plates are around the 3000 m2 in the lowest 35 levels, then the tower trims up for the top 20 floors to about 2000 m2 floors. It'll be the same height as the MLC Centre in the city but has much larger floor plates.
It will be overtaken in 2023/24 by Salesforce Tower at Circular Quay. See pic below.

Did you know the guy who runs Salesforce is the brother or cousin or something of the showrunner for Game of Thrones?
No. I also have never heard of the term showrunner before. Now I know, thanks.

Taking 24 floors in a city digs is a huge letting, even for a bank, accountants / lawyers or a government dept. Astonishing for a regional office for software company.
I reckon you’ll find that “region” to be Asia-Pacific. Plus they’ll probably sublet to affiliates

The only thing that I hope they change is the colour to Blue and Gold. Would be fitting really and unique to Parramatta as opposed to the city ones that are also Red.

No thanks. That would be tacky.

Why? Blue and Gold are great colours together and have been used in many different ways, even by Royalty.

There is nothing tacky about our colours when put together correctly. By correctly that generally means more blue and the gold as highlights so to speak.

Besides why isn't the Red and White of the Cities Trams considered tacky then or any other colour scheme chosen? Sure it's the Eels colours, so what? Embrace it man. Don't shy away from it. We need to make RL(NRL) all consuming, not be embarrassed by it.

We are a one city team. Make it the be all and end all and pride of the city ffs. This is the problem with the NRL and RL in general. We tend to downplay and minimise our product publically and almost at times feel shameful. Why? Other sports don't. Look at AFL, do you think that if they had the opportunity to associate one of their teams to a cities trams in some way they would feel it was "tacky"?

We need to grab every opportunity there is to expand the publics awareness of our product and make it known that we have presence and clout within the fabric of the community. This would be a great start for our team(club) for anyone who lives or visits our town to know who is boss and the that sporting buzz is us. The advertising during the season on each Tram would be priceless if we could add Eels ads on them to complement or other forms of advertising around the streets to match. It would really tell a story to everyone that this little city is all about the Eels and RL.

How could that be a bad thing for our club and sport? I would have thought as a long suffering RL fan that has on numerous occasions lamented that RL fans don't have the same fanaticism and passions as Soccer or other sports fans around the world you would see this as an opportunity to create something here in our own backyard. Sure it probably wouldn't on its own change much, but it is another brick in the wall of creating a strong legacy and association between Parramatta City, The Eels and all the people that live and breathe within it. Make the Eels the heart of the City. The one thing that the whole region is united on and lives for on a weekend. That should be the goal, shouldn't it?

If we could make the Trams our colours at the very least it shows that this town is in step with the team of the same name and the people of the area are glad and proud of that. So what is so tacky about that?

Nope.

To be honest, I don't care what colours the trams are, but to dress them up as Eels trams is imo, tacky. Sure, let's have blue trams, or Eels yellow trams, and have a bit of advertising on them for the Eels. I've got no problem with that.
Just don't get upset when the trams also end up with Panthers, or Tigers, or Bulldogs or Waratahs or even Wanderers black and red advertising all over them. God forbid, you'd completely lose it if the AFL put GWS advertising on every single tram, which wouldn't surprise me!
