I wish that statement was true. We have examples like the pub and Willow Grove which have been moved on, yet this is sacrosanct?

Exactly, the decision to demolish Willow Grove and keep this standard house was in$anity.

I agree. Nothing special about that building but its heritage listed, so it stays.
Apparently being renovated and turned into a museum and cafe, so at least it'll get used.

was going to say that it looks like it is in the middle of a public square rather than blocking a 10 story apartment block - museum/cafe seems like it would be ok.

This is cool, if anyone can sit through the whole trip.
It actually shows Parramatta and surrounds in a very good light.
Interesting to see that this particular tram-set has already 23000 km's on the clock. That's some decent testing.

Also the whole route has made a massive improvement to the surrounds. Paving, footpaths, cycleways, landscaping etc...
Parramatta, and Church St just looks so much better. Just like George St in the city does as well now. The view from about the 11 minute mark, heading up Eat Street is so cool.
Sydney is getting so much stuff right. Let's hope it continues.
I highly suggest watching through until the 16 min mark and noticing the metro station construction along the way.
