I think this is our best squad since 2001...we have a good mix of youth and experience and great depth, players such as Tsoulos, Lewis, Moimoi, Peek, Muckert, Afamasaga, Mateo, Perenara, Graham (hopefully he will be fully fit), Petersen & Henderson will also push for a 1st grade spot during the season.

it's common knowlege that Drive aka Philips despises Wagon.

he's one of these supporters that only notices attack in rugby league and believes defence doesn't exist.

17.Widders/Afasamaga

Backline is pretty sharp, given enough space Tahu and Grothe will be un stopable. Wagon will stiffen up the defence which is a problem in the backline since Judas and Vaealiki left the club. Mckinnon will excel with the extra offload provided by Cayless and Stringer.

Halves, Johnny Morris did a good job at 5/8, he isn't super flashy but all Tahu and Grothe needs is the ball. They make their own oppertunities. Tim Smith because he is training with the first grade squad, Jake thinks he is gold and he has been spot on with Guys like Mateo, Anderson and Afasamaga well before they played first grade.

Forward pack, the most experianced pack we have put on the park in a very long time. Great work ethic, big but not too big. Much better defencively than last years pack.

Bench, tons of impact with Marsh in at hooker. Vella plays so much better off the bench, Cannings is one of the best rookies in the comp and Widders or Afasamaga will depend on who we are versing. If it is going to be a tough physical challenge then Afasamaga would be the better man for the job. A more free flowing game then Widders.

Not bad Pazza. Maybe you could be Smithys assistant coach as I like the team. Barring injuries could count on Morrison & Hindy on lasting 80min. Therefore continually rotate Robinson for Vella; Stringer for Cannings; Cayless for Widders and Riddell for PJ.

Imagine the impact with the rotation of the battery ramlike forwards coming on/off fresh as daises and then having the potential impact of Widders & PJ to call on. Wagon stiffening up defense out wide. Absolutely awesome.

Yeah its a very interesting and good looking line up. Not sure if its what will be on Smithy's mind but he always seems to surprise us with selections and it may be something like that. Cayless in the seocnd row looks very good, a back row of Hindmarsh, Cayless and Morrision surely has to be among the best there is. With our amount of front row depth we have plenty of options up front. A bench consisting of the players listed will provided excellent impact and Wags might go alright at centre. It was noted that in his player profile this year for position he wrote centre/lock.

Given the lack of experianced players at centre and Burts failure to perform in this position, Wagon is a no brainer at centre. He has played plenty of centre during his time at the club and he has always done a great job while playing there.

I think we will see Cayless and Robinson also playing plenty of minutes.

The best thing i think about this year side is the defencive ability of the forward pack. Morrison and Robinson are really going to stiff up the defence up the middle of the ruck and greatly improve our kick chase.

 if we are forced to play these youngn's in flegg we must have some good players above em

they'll get a run in PL and FG when there are injuries/rep duties, but I think they'll start in JF at the beginning of the year as I can't see them forcing players out of PL completely, when they are still young enough to play JF. Without all the injuries over the past couple of seasons, most of us wouldn't have even heard most of these names, and they would follow the normal progression, ie. still in Flegg.

Keep the faith P

funny how an idea works it's way in until others can finally see the sense in it.

When it comes to fruition P we can say we were there right from the start 8)

for sure Haynzy!

Really Wagon in the centres is nothing new. Morrison at Lock is nothing new. Cayless in the second row is nothing new. I can't see why it can't be done.

Weller and Johnny are too old for Flegg this year I believe, in that they turn 20 before the start of the season. Johnny in Jan and Weller in Feb. Oake turns 20 in September so remains eligible. The other two are fine.
