I'm hoping it's more like the result in the double-header we played there in round 1 2002.

2001: 26-18 round 3

Vaealiki, Hindmarsh, Drew and Hodgson crossed for tries.

Kelly got fended off in both the Vaealiki and Hindmarsh tries in Kelly's return to Parra stadium.

Alex Chan played his 1st game for Parra and Lyon started the match at 5/8

and perhaps......just perhaps if Jamie had been allowed a few more games in the number 6 (like he was apparently suppossed to in 2004) he may well have stayed????? ;-) ;-)

and honestly, did would we really have been putting anyone of great value out of a job.....Dykes????? :?

you're right... the double-header was in 2001, but I was thinking of the scoreline in 2002 for some reason, which was pretty similar. Penrith must have hated us for a while there.

According to sources Lyon wanted to take on the 5/8 role..... Smith was reluctant to move him and apparently part of the reason he left - thats right TE?

Well, Lyon also played at 5/8 in the round 6 game v Raiders. that Parra lost 6-20 with Chan getting sent off.

So he got two games in the 1st 6 weeks of 2001 at 5/8.

For the past 2 seasons, round three has always been the 1st home game.. I'm surprised that it isnt Round 3: Eels v Knights.... again

But damn Rd 5 and 6.... :? Talk about distance!

Good banter  and a good draw for the Eels.

I think Rabbitohs and Sharks will be pretenders that we simply must beat. Would also look to win 50-50 out of Wests-Panthers-Broncos-Storm (who should all be contenders for top 8)

So 4 wins from 6 before the Anzac test :D , and then we play Wests again in Round 7?
