I voted for Jason Taylor. This is what should have happened after he created history and got us into the finals in 2006.

Created history? Hagan and Stuart both did a lot better in their rookie seasons.

I guess the club would offer caretaker role in the first instance to any of the assistants... if one of them is happy to take it, then they can start a recruitment process for an appointment in September/October.

If none of the assistants was willing to step up, then Taylor and Lowe have already been mentioned as ideas the Board have put to Kearney and so presumably would be available to step in.

As for the longer term appointment... just make one of the criteria that they've coached a team in their own right (U20s, NSW/Qld/NZ Cup, NRL or Superleague) to some success. That will weed out any nuffy "assistants" like Kearney out of the equation this time.

Offer the successful applicant a two year contract, with a KPI that if they're winning more games than they've lost come Round 13 in the second year (2014), then they get an extension for another 2-3 years. If not, then we start a(nother) recruitment process for 2015. Simple incentive and accountability.
