I don't care tbh. I want depth props & quality starting back rowers with size & aggression.

Because our recruitment is hands down the worst in the competition.

Isn't this the truth.

I love Richards, he was a great player in his prime, but he's 32 next season, FFS.

Anyone who isn't slightly concerned with this signing is living with the fairies.

That being said I would love nothing more for him to kill it over here again. Here's hoping.

Lets see how he goes before writing him off. He was a gun player. He might still have it.

So long as he hasn't cost us too much I see no issues.

Pat is in another class to Reddy and Utai, but he will not turn us from a cellar dweller into a top team.We have to target elite players at their prime if we are ever to compete with the big boys.Okay if Potter can get some real class to come on board, big Pat will be a handy pick up,but on his own nothing will change

Tend to agree. I hear Will Chambers is off contract from Melbourne, now there would be a good signing.

Yet our retention is arguably the best in the comp.
In 13 years we have only lost a handful of players we wanted to keep.
Prince and Richards two of the man ones...........in 13 years.

I would add Fifita, Gibbs and Hodgson to the list of lost talent, but retention also refers to keeping deadwood, aka Fitzhenry, Moltzen, Utai, Lote...

Fafita, Gibbs and Hodgson were moved on. They were told to look elsewhere.
As i said, we have lost very few players in 13 years that we wanted to keep.

They were really poor decisions though. We haven't had a good fullback since Hodgson left. Gibbs and Fifita would be great for us now.

Gibbs was a hard call but IMO they were probably right, the guy has spent a lot of time in rehab in the past few years as for Fifita that was a case of Sheen's ego stuffing things up again

Completely agree. But its all outside the original point.

Some of our retentions and contract extensions have been ridiculous too.
But we have retained who we have wanted to retain better than any team in comp.
