Will there be patches available on the internet for any bugs that are found in the PC version? (Like with other software that have known bugs)

Mario, can you answer this please?

Not a major patch, just one that stops the insane number of sin-binnings and the large number of penalties for forward passes.

The large number of penalties for forward passes are because u are pressing forward when you are about to pass it from dummy half. If you stop doing that then you will be fine with that. But i do have to say there are an unusual number of sin bins. But even in saying that most of the high tackles happen when your player is out of position to make a tackle.

Well most of the problems named seem to be easy to fix. So I'd expect a patch in a short time if they are going to make one (I hope so).

I don't mind there being forward passes, but in the NRL it is incredibly rare to see a penalty for a forward pass. So lets make the game realistic and get rid of them, hopefully with a small patch.

The game follows the rule book. If you're offside from a pass (which is what a deliberate forward pass is) you get penalised the same way as if your offside from a kick, or even a knock-on.

They were talking about this on radio the first week of the finals.

In the 26 rounds of football they only gave 67 penalties for deliberate forward passes. He said(and I agree) it should be a lot more.

67 penalties for deliberate forward passes last year? I watched nearly every game... I can't remember more than 10... let alone 67! Can anyone else?

67 does sound like an awful lot. Are you sure the guy on the radio didn't say "6 to 7 penalties"?

I don't remember that many.

I watched all bar 7 games during the year and can remember about 25-30. No more.

But I think that if a player knocks on and another player in front of him picks the ball up it's classed as a deliberate forward pass.

Mario, do you have an official comment to make on whether there will a patch or not?

Also, fixing the Hit-Up statistic would be great - it looks odd when you play 40 minute halves and seeing at half time your players have made 17 tackles - but NOBODY has done any hit-ups! expecially when all im doing is nothing but hit-ups!

It would also be nice to see the opposition kick for goal on a penatly - im playing on legend and still have yet to see this happen.

That's interesting because on the demo the AI always kicked for goal if they were within range. (Even if they were down by a few points with a few seconds to go and the should have gone for a try to win)

All the major games do this and it would only enhance Sidhe's customer service reputation if they did likewise.

Its too early to consider releasing a patch at this stage.

Once we are aware of all the problems then we can assess how to go about resolving them in one go.

you have to run very straight and use a forward I think for hit ups?

I think you also need to not use step, fend or anything. I also think if you break a tackle just by pressing the sprint button it doesnt count as a hitup, so it is extremely flawed in that way.

It doesn't follow the rule book, I get penalised for passing to a guy that's a few metres behind me and the ball goes back a few metres then curves around and floats 5 metres forward. The deliberate ruling seems to be random. I've only once passed to a guy that was offside. I've also thrown passes where the receiver has caught the ball on the other side of the defensive line and gotten away with it.

And as for the person that said forward passes result from pushing forward from dummy half when you're passing it. It's not as if it only happens from dummy half. I don't want to have to push backwards while I'm on the run to pass the ball. That's another thing, you can't pass straight back to the fullback so he can have some time to get a kick away. Even RUGBY 2002 let you do that.

Surely the team were aware of some of these issues before release.
you notice them in 5 minutes of gameplay.

What were the testers doing.

What would be the best (most efficient) way for forum users to make you aware of the problems? posting in the sticky threads?
