Tough, leadership, resilience but no immortal. However if the gummies real estate fortunes come through and they win the next couple of premierships it will help. :)

Fulton is on the wrong side of history.

NRL are (attempting) to move the game to tough but clean.

Pulling out stitches, squeezing testicles, blaming refs for results & being the sole reason the NRL's hand was forced to "ban the biff" don't fit the mold for the direction of the post-News Ltd ARLC-led NRL.

If NSW win this year (which is looking as good as any other year) there will be a few getting carried away calling for recognition of him just turning up each year.

If pulling out stitches, squeezing testicles etc doesn't fit the mold then Joey got a tad lucky, don't you think ???

Gallen clearly is in that company (i.e., the best of the current players). But obviously not an immortal.

TBH, they've become far too hasty on that anyway - Johns was too soon to be objective on his career.... should be a mandatory (and substantial) period of time between retirement and induction, much like the American Halls of Fame.

Churchill, Raper, Beetson, Johns...Gallen?

Lol, one of these things just doesn't belong.

Tough player but the whole everyone loves playing with him is BS. I know of one high profile Shark that wants out because he is sick of Gallen overplaying his hand.

Anyone who doesn't love the Don Bradman of Rugby League doesn't deserve the privilege of playing with him.

No f**ken way. Most over-rated player in the nrl.

While we on the subject Fulton shouldn't be an immortal it's a joke that he is there are 100 of players that deserve to be a immortal before him

I challenge you to name the hundred players more deserving of the immortal status than Fulton. You'd be lucky to name five who, incidentally, are already immortals.

It is apparent that you have never seen Fulton play and nor has your father, who was probably pissing nappies at the time.

On the question of Gallen being an immortal. No. Being one of the best forwards in the game over the past five years or so doesn't cut the mustard. His lack of achievements over that period denies him of such "greatness".

He has to overplay his hand because he is surrounded by shit. When he gets into a good team (like Origin) he sticks to his strengths and dominates

In the past yes, but there is others capable of setting things up now. Hard to blame him though given the length of time he was the go to man. The player in question is also a renowned sook.
