Fox will lift the rug in nrl360 and with a prepared statement about a personal matter will sweep it straight under.

If this were a player, it would be big headlines re domestic violence etc etc.

Not a word on news.com as yet. In between tattoo disaster and stars outing with lookalike daughter there was no mention of Kent getting arrested.

if anything defamatory is said about any party in a legal case like this, anyone who comments publicly, particularly assuming guilt, is left open to action. Publishers are also left open to it.

News/Fox may have lawyers coming out the wazoo but it doesn't preclude anyone bringing action against them.

So yeah - that's why they are limiting social comments for now.

While this is true, it doesn't seem to stop News LTD when it's a player involved. Although admittedly I don't use Twitter I've not seen them limit comments on other socials when players are involved either.

So there's definitely a double standard there as well IMO.

Anyway like I said he's scum even without these charges. If proven it won't lose him many fans...

It's probably also a liability issue for News Ltd in terms of welfare for one of their employees.

If they criticise or allow social media comments to just pummel him, and Kenty is adversely affected by this mentally, he could take legal action against News Ltd for not providing a safe working environment.

I'd say this is much more accurate than any fears around defamation etc.

I saw Crawls the worm had spewed out some sort of article whinging about BA having a crack at Pube Collector Atkins in my news feed this morning.

Probs do half a show loudly shouting about that and half loudly shouting about Hook getting the hook

News Ltd will be having a real crisis.

On one hand, ex superstar player of the game.
On the other hand, one of their own.

Oh what to do!?!?! What to do!?!?

I’m pretty sure Lara has anchored the show for a brief spell after Ikin so she’s got form.

she did. she also did a bit of a stint on the show as a journo. i fondly remember her putting bicep hoops in his place with her accurate reporting against his......'something' journalism.
she was often shouted down by the other male journos.
all because she had the facts and they had basically nothing!!

Any word on the socials from his former panelists?

To be fair, given employment laws etc, fox may not be able to comment at all, nor its employees.

Entire Monday Night NRL 360 To Be Devoted To St George Dragons Coaching Crisis And Nothing Else

Fox Sports have today confirmed that tonight’s NRL360 will be one for the ages!

The pay TV home of Rugby League has informed the Advocate that this week’s Monday night NRL360 will be one of ‘the biggest, most drama filled editions of the show in history.’

Not because one of the presenters was arrested and has been charged, but because the panel is set to spend the entire 60 minutes talking about the crisis that is besetting the St George Illawarra Dragons.

“The Dragons have lost 6 games in a row, and coach Anthony Griffin is on the chopping block,” said one producer this morning.

And given we turn the microscope on all the contentious topics in Rugby League, we’ll be diving into that and have a conversation about all the tough topics,” he continued.

“We have a proud reputation of leaving no stone unturned, and giving favourable treatment to no one!” said the producer of a show that pounces on any indiscretions from players and coaches both on and off the field.

The confirmation of the full hour of Dragons chat comes after numerous Rugby League fans have taken to social media to ask whether there will be any discussion of the horrific allegations levelled against you-know-who

However, given the insular nature of the media – the powers at be are seemingly happy to just completely ignore the allegations and allow them to run their course without generating even a ripple in the news cycle.

“If we do somehow run out of things to talk about in regards to the Dragons, we’ll move onto the attitude issue at the Panthers,” finished the producer.

“Did you see Luai shush the cameras after the game on Friday night? That type of behaviour is unacceptable and he deserves to be hammered for it.”

More to come.
