Pauli Poorly

What d o you think of this guy?

To me, he is nothing special but more importantly, his attitude stinks.

I am glad Dopey Arthur hooked him with 20 to go cause he looked like he had lost the plot and had total disregard for his teammates with his lack of discipline.

I would let this guy go if i were in charge. A lot of skill, but very wrong attitude.

What do you guys think?

ps. Sandow was brilliant. (from his biggest critic)

He is the laziest, most ill-disciplined player in our side (and that's saying something). He is not suited to the edge because his defence is embarrassing.

Look he's a good young player with plenty of years ahead of him, but poor attitude really. It wasnt just the Soward incident but he was lying all over the Penrith players, resulting in a penalty.

When Gower comes back, he'll be dropped, if he's not suspended.

Arthur wasnt impressed and I bet he wouldve pissed off when he saw Pauli smile after he was put on report.

Even my wife, who i subject to watch all parra games but knows shitall, pointed out how pauli did not seem to be playing in the best interest of the game and went as far to say he was intentionly costing his team.

I told her to shut the f**k up and cook me an omelette, but as she was cooking i realised she was right. He seemed to be smirking way too much whilst giving penalties or making errors for my liking.

Agree. Overrated.

A good frame on him, but doesn't know how to use it. Seems to have a poor on field attitude and work ethic too.

If another club offers him more than we can afford, I'd let him go in a heartbeat. Not worth paying overs to keep just on spec.

I don't think his attitude stinks, he was just trying to hard. Plus I think he is better suited to the middle. I would be moving him to prop and tell him run straight and hard and don't worry about the fancy stuff yet, wait until he gets a bit more experienced.

I wouldn't be giving up on him yet, just needs some time

You do not write off a guy who is - 20yld. Sure he is not ready right yet.But he is young. He does not seem up to the speed of the NRL that's all. Guys like Jnr only just tasted first grade at this age. Most forwards do not at such a young age.

Today was not one of his best games. But he came on when penrith had the ball and momentum. I reckon he is atleast 2-3 yrs away from being anywhere near his best. He only came back from an injury in rnd 8.Some guys are too harsh on young guys.

Hit nail on the head. Last week I was telling a friend how cartwright was slow and over rated.Than tonight he ripped us apart. Just like a new job they need to learn. David Gower never became a solid first grader till he was 27.

I agree that I would not pay overs for him. Even thou I say we are mad to let him go.Its a shame but with KE Scot and Alioai part of the squad next year its ging too be hard for Pauli to make it out wide.

Must keep him not worth letting him go and us saying in 2 years why did we let him go when he is tearing it up somewhere else.

Big forwards take 4 or 5 years to develop physically and mentally so he is worth the wait as frustrating as tonight was.

Has plenty of potential so hopefully he's willing to stay on a salary commensurate with his current ability not any potential future ability. Doubt it but.

He has a long way to go. I hope another club does not come in with a big offer we can't match. He could be a real weapon in a few years from now. He could end up like T-rex like when he went to Manly.

Maybe true, but he's about the same age as Taumalolo, isn't he? Wasn't someone (or someones) comparing him to Paulo recently? I'd like to keep him, but potential is a dicey thing to bet on.

I agree that its not worth paying more than 200-220k for. Has T rex been that good? The dogs are paying silly money. Manly did get 1-2 good years from T-rex but also had him in reserves for 1-2 years whilst paying him first graders money.

One thing is for sure, Manly and the Dogs have paid big money for him, more than what he is worth imo.
