if hes going to get 4 weeks for not being in a fight, he should have at least belted someone and got 6.
I think he's on firstHaas Payne stood down or has Payne Haas been stood down.
And what Haas he stood down from?
While I agree Inglis' punishment was light, he still missed two tests for Australia and was stripped of the captaincy. Not enough - agreed - but you can't ignore that when making such a comparison. So he gets 4 weeks for not talking to the Integrity Unit but Inglis gets a written character reference despite getting done for DUI.
Sounds reasonable.....

I’m not comparing the punishments just highlighting the arbitrary nature of them. While I agree Inglis' punishment was light, he still missed two tests for Australia and was stripped of the captaincy. Not enough - agreed - but you can't ignore that when making such a comparison.
There isn't a clear method and TBH, I'm not sure there even can be - no two incidents the same etc etc.I’m not comparing the punishments just highlighting the arbitrary nature of them.
I just don’t understand how, between the NRL, IU & clubs there’s clear method of adjudication(if that’s the correct word) to arrive at suitable punishments.
In this instance it’s like the Broncos are trying to make up for signing Matt Lodge by chest beating about ‘standards of behaviour’ & poor old Haas is bearing the brunt of it.
To all intents & purposes it’s a family matter(withno police involvement)so I’m not sure why he’s being singled out for such heavy punishment.

I think Haas and the club have done the right thing here - he's opted to protect his family's privacy by not cooperating, as is his right; while Brisbane have opted to protect their brand (however flawed that decision is in light of signing Lodge) by punishing him.

He’s the first sacrificial lamb for the Broncos and the NRL to show that they’re “serious”, without having to enter any difficult ethical/legal quandaries by standing down players facing criminal charges.
