Apparently Skandalis is in........ Against the big Dragons forwards and probably not being in NRL condition let alone sudden death finals condition its a massive blow.

feel sorry for payten this close to the gf and a training mishap. he's a very underated player. the tigers are really struggling to get across the finish line with a healthy team

Jesus, the way you Tigers fans are carrying on is a bit much. He's a good player no doubt, but it's not like he's the be all and end all. Those sort of win/loss stats can be very deceiving.

I'd wager to say if any of Benji, Farah, Ellis, Heighington, Gibbs, Galloway or possibly even Fulton got injured it would have been worse. You guys are acting like Payten is the one.

Gibbs plays massive minutes up-front, and Ellis/Fulton/Heighington is a quality 80-minute backrow. If you guys are good enough you will win, and if you don't, blaming it on Payten being out will be a total cop-out.

I agree that the opportunity is still there but his clean ball distribution as an extra pivot is a loss as is his deensive cleanup rate.

With Payten out I am convinced we cannot afford to play Fifita. He is the worst marker defender I have seen at the club since Daine Laurie left

If we're going to play him, need to start him IMO when everybody's fresh.

As a Tigers fan, I lean towards Johns Magic - Payten is a valuable player for us but I don't buy into the "we're f**ked" mentality that seems to be permeating from our fans. Gibbs will need to play close to 80 minutes and Dwyer will be relied on more as well. Skando was starting to resemble a FGer in his last hit-out, but that was a few weeks back. We'll see what happens.

Fifita is starting, I believe. And he has something to prove after being snubbed so far in the finals.

I don't think we are completely f**ked either, but it is definitely a big blow.

But we have covered for a massive amount of injuries all year, so this will be no different. I honestly think most other clubs would have been gone weeks ago.

Unfortunately for the tigers, things are starting to unravel for them. Payton out and a few other players on light training due to niggling injuries.

I doubt the tigers are playing tricks with this one. It's possible, but I doubt it...

This sort of brain game worked on poor old simpleton Nathan Brown, but it won't work on Creeping.

he'll play. I'll wager $100 on it.

You people are geniused if you think this is a mind game.

I'll take you up on that bet. $1000 says he doesn't play.

Todd is no chance, even if he sleeps in the hydro-chamber. As for his value to the team, equal or more valuable than Farah and Marshall, big call but true. He organizes the tigers defensive structures in the forwards and in attack supply's a good link between the backs and forwards. Also gives Farah lighting play the balls to feed off. I would say what little chance the Tigers had of winning are well and truly out the window now and I expect the contest to be decided by oranges. I hope Iam wrong, but when looking at the facts, everything points towards the Steelers
