G'Day guys, The motherboard on my old pc failed last week and in that time I have bought a new updated computer but I was wondering is it possible for me to unplug my old harddrive and plug it into my new one just so I can recover my songs and movies etc without having to do any reconfiguring or partitioning??? My old and new computer is running XP.

yes you can

depending on your settings you should just be able to connect it to the loom and reboot your new PC and it should be assigned as D,E or F drive depending on what hardware you cave in your new PC

It shouldnt be a problem just make sure you turn the new pc off and unplug it from any power source then connect it up... Turn it back on and it should be recognized...
