Yeah.

But I guess his band of followers will add this along with calling Mickey a black merkin, squeezing balls and raking at stitches to the "not his go" basket and talk up his toughness etc.

hahha in a few weeks time the NRL is going to come out with a clarification of the rule that swearing is no longer permitted nor tolerated just like they did with the headbutting one.

In saying that im glad Thurston didn't get penalised for it. Everyone exagerrated how bad the incident was, and as a previous poster said, he wasn't even swearing AT the ref.

Refs need to stand up for themselves
Gallen's a dickhead but he's not going to stop being Gallen until the refs and judicary grow a set and start punishing this kind of thin

but...but...but Thurston is the protected species...wah wah wah.

BTW theres a difference between swearing your head off while talking to a ref and flat out calling him a cheat.

Hmmm - David Peachey, Gordon Tallis, Joey Johns...........

Times have changed.

Ben Elias is another one. He copped a 2 match suspension for dissent and missed origin as a result. His offending was more innocuous as well, he only swore about a touch judge while talking to another player.

Gal got it wrong/
Maxwell was just f**king sh!t on the night.
When nothing goes their way, it's easy to see how dumbsh!t footballers can confuse "cheat" with "sh!t".

As a former referee, I was always taught to consider WHY the player said what he did, before I acted on it. If it MAY have been the result of my f**k up, the player stayed on the field and copped a harsh warning. That's what Gallen got. Fair enough for mine.
