I would love to know Kimmorley's view, I believe it would have an influence.
I would wish him well, if he chooses that path.
I would prefer he stays.

which is why we are taking advantage of him in an appalling manner that makes me ashamed to be a sharks fan

True. Peach deserves better.

Webb couldn't play a hand on Slater. Peach nailed Slater in the in goal area. I don't rate Webb.

While Webb got done by a swerve, what did Peach get done by in the two games v the Warriors last year against Faumuina (dummying with no one in support, Peach goes for the intercept) and to Toopi (threw a dummy to a man 10 metres back, Peach goes for a star jump intercept).

Pot.. Kettle... Black?

Here's hoping Peach is NOT leaving Cronulla. A swap on Peach and Mellars would be highly unfair on the Warriors.

Did anyone see the comment attributed to Steve Rogers in todays (Saturday) Daily Telegraph?

" A lot of people are saying we weren't going to keep him and we weren't going to make offers. The club wasn't ignoring David but he has been hard to contact."

Hard to contact? Thats what he is alleged to have said. Is he implying Peach has been missing, has he been training, has he moved house? Does he have a manager? Sounds weird to me. :?

Sludge as much as I respect you, YOU were basically saying that not so long ago.

To paraphrase ' We will look at how he is playing and decide if he goes around again.

God, I'll chuck $100 into a Keep Peachey fund if that's what it takes.

Can't wait for the board elections next year. Out with Pierce and the nepotism he perpetuates at the club.

No Warren,

This was the first year it was unchallenged.

O'Driscoll had been trying for a while and Sorenson stood as an independent when he got the punt from Barry's ticket for expressing an opinion

Sounds like some people are thinking, "f**k, what have we done"

Peaches "Sydney" family have turned their back on him.
where is the most logical place he would be?

It seems the Warriors didnt have trouble finding him. Or another club.
Peach will be playing in the NRL next year.

I shake to think what a side with Webb at 5/8th, all of those fowards plus Wiki & Price, Meli on one wing, getting directions from the back by peach, would do to our "no brand" Sharks.
Get yourselves in the mood for that one. peach scintillatingly destroying us Shark park in Warriors jersey.

That's allways been the problem with this club. The f^&king board. No coincidence when things were going best we had good management.

Now look at it. Whichever side you were on in the Anderson saga it is hard to argue that the leaks form the board to the gutter press did nothing but damage the club and make us look amatuerish. Now there are similar things about Peachey, though they aren't as prolific.

If the club was serious about Peach it would allready be done. Simple as that. It is all BS to say we will see how he plays this year. He has played fine and we can see all the little things he does by how we go when he is not there. I'm certain we wouldn't bleed anywhere near as much around the ruck with Peachey directing traffic.

And it's not as if we are using the money to bring in some other star.

Just change yuor name to Pierce Peach and you'll be able to play as long as you want.,

Couldn't have said that better myself.

I suppose it all comes down to what Peach's Manager believes he is worth. No one here really knows what is going on but for Steve Rogers to say he is hard to contact is very odd.

Even Sludge left near the end of his career when the money was good (but he did come back again). I wouldn't crucify the Club. They're acting as they see best. Peach has been a great clubman (I'd see the bloke knighted, if possible). I reckon he still has one or two good years left. But a couple of my mates (Sharks supporters) reckon Peach has reached his use by date. I guess it's a matter of perspective. If the Warriors throw money at Peach then I wouldn't blame him one iota if he took it. And I reckon we should have a special farewell for him like we had for ET and Mitch.

Pop the club has been very poor in relation to Peach.

They have frequently come out and said that they will wait and see if they think he is up to another couple fo years.

If tey think that fair enough, but there is no need to embarras a loyal clubman by saying that in the media.

Just listened to sludge on 2ky. Nothing new. Claims they have made an offer, he spoke to Peach about some 'personal concerns' and are waiting to hear back from Peach or his manager. Didn't sound too chummy.

Sludge didn't really expand on any new signings. No mention of Dykes or Junior.

It is not always about the money.
How one is treated by one's employer is a factor always.
Role in the team is also a telling factor - ask Tahu.
My gut feeling is Raper wants a very quick structured hole running fullback, rather than pop up anywhere ball playing one gap creating one.

I've heard that the Rabbits are interested also. And with Richardson there and McRae coming well you never know.

Whatever happens with peach over the next few days, I think we should all remember this.....

Why should we expect a player like HIM to show any loyalty to the board and club as a whole after they made it clear to him he had no future here ?

It has happened too many times in the past few years to too many good clubmen and loyal servants of the club.

LEts not have a huge ant-peach/traitor,/money grabber backlash when he leaves eh ? its not fair and not right , he is a broken man, like players before him who have been forced from the club in past 2 seasons.

I hope Peach does go to another club if he is offered s**t all or nothing. A player like him should not be stopped prematurely in his career because of some small minded people at the Sharks. If he is getting screwed over by us he doesnt have to show loyalty, because he aint being showed it!
