Can anyone tell me how many weeks Peeky got from being sent off against Penrith last year??

And if so can he use any trial games as part of this suspension to be available for round 1 against the doggies?

Well assuming that Hindmarsh is able to use the trial matches to cover his suspension than I can't see why Peek wouldn't be able to either. I am not sure though whether they deemed the send off as sufficient though.

Personally I think the NRL is trying to use Hindy as a drawcard for the 7's so they allowed his suspension to be "lifted" by using the trial matches. It has never happened in the past that I know of - most famously when Blocker Roach tried to beat his suspension when he went overseas to England.

Peek wasn't even charged by the judiciary. It was a joke that he was sent off in the first place.

Peek is a good player, it will be interesting to see what kind of role he will play during the 2004 season.

In fact NRL conducted trials have always been able to be used as suspensions. Nathan Fein did it last year for the Cowboys and many players will do it this year as well as Nathan Hindmarsh.

The NRL taking advantage of Hindy? NEVER!!!

I believe Peek got two matches. Either way, he'll be ready for round one.

Did he get suspended? That send off was a joke anyway!!!

I've got to agree. Even though I caught up with the throng of my own supporters in the call to get him sent off, seeing a replay later on showed that he should have been placed on report, at worst.

E2W is corect, Peek was never charged, and will be starting off a clean state in 2004. He's proved handy to have around the place.
