Take TPJ and Lodge out of the team and the penalty count wouldn't be so lopsided.

TPJ has only played twice, but he was pushing the line in both games.

Lodge is always trying to slow down the ruck aggressively.

The other forwards are learning their craft from these hotheads.

Some of the set restarts are ridiculous, absolute phantom penalties so the referee can assert himself. The Broncos are just so mentally weak and plagued by injury that once one call goes against them, they keep giving up more because the tide has well and truly swung the opposition's way. Then suddenly they're getting all the 50/50 calls or just flat-out wrong calls like the Kalyn Ponga nonsense from last night.

The refs have gifted your club at least 3 or 4 wins over the Cowboys since 2015 by allowing your outside backs to score tries on the back of blatantly forward passes that were right in line with the touchie. The last one was the game at Willows last year. I never heard any Donkeys fans whinge about those calls.

At least 10 games have been gifted to the Donkeys over the last 2 seasons by the refs to get them in the 8.
