I like Taylan but I am worried about having 2 short wingers. I am hoping he'd make a decent centre. Then again I think Tago would make a damaging centre as well.

We have options next year even with Capewell, Burton and Naden going.

Staines isnt tall and played wing most of this year.

I agree. I think taylan will end up at centre but will spend first few on the wing.

Tago for me has to start centre next year. I want him on the park for 80.

To say Cleary can't win a premiership because he's not a 'supercoach' isn't exactly accurate. Some pretty ordinary coaches have won premierships. Such as Michael Hagan at Newcastle and to be honest Paul Green isn't that great either and he won with the Cowboys.

Put Ricky in that group. They all had elite players, We have very good players but no elite

Never caught the hype on Green. A lot of the work was done by Graham Murray and Neil Henry.
He came in as a breath of fresh air to win a premiership. Apart from a flukey run a few years ago, he did stuff all after the premiership.
He also had Thurston running the team on the paddock.
Bit like Hagan at Newcastle looking like a good coach but it was Johns doing all the work on the field.

It was too much to think you muppets would just slink away after reality proved you so utterly clueless. Unfortunately it is apparent the more reality proves you wrong the more you retreat into delusion and you got to keep repeating it amongst yourselves to keep the delusion up.

This. Coaches change gears for the finals. Skeletor, Robbo & Bellamy go up a gear and press the go baby go button. Ivan, Hook and Arthur knock it back to third and try and chug up the hill
It was an Ivan coached team that knocked out both Bennet and Robinson last season.

We peaked about Round 18 last season, Peaked at the 1st Roosters game this year. We got very lucky in the Finals we won last year and we just as bad next time, Very close to that same outcome.

Gus wanted Bennett, Would we of gone any worse in comp games, under him?
We won those games last season against strong sides and master coaches. You trying to play down what happened last year to prove your pessimistic point of view.

It was weird. All season long one of our plays has been Yeo and Fish passing back towards the ruck to suck in defenders. None of that last night. Some of the few times we went straight behind the ruck with a bit of speed we had success and rolled through them.

Last night the game plan just seemed so ordinary and we were dominated. Need to go back to what we were doing previously.

That was the story at the backend of last season too, Just do what we did to get us there

What’s the latest with Edwards and Leota?
What is Clearys love affair with Mitch Kenny? Kenny offers nothing in attack. I would have Tago on the bench instead of Kenny. Tago offers plenty in attach compared to Kenny.
If May had been fit he would played instead of Kenny. But with no May, we need to Kenny to cover hooker for injury or HIA.

Tago does not cover a position we can’t cover through other players.

Souffs had 1 million injuries last year when we played them, Cam Murray started at centre for starters. Yet Souffs had a chance to still win the game.
Roosters we were down 12-0. Then blew and 18 point lead to allow them a chance to win the game in the last minute.
Who could forget being down 20-0 in the Grand Final?
So again point to this improving come finals time

Not a fan of having a bench spot to cover only one position on the field who is normally a 70-80 player. Kenny is a hooker or nothing. Has very little ability in any other role which is why I prefer May if not injured.

So what? The Panthers were down 4 players last night, but does that take away from Souths for winning last night? Of course it doesn’t! You are just trying to downplay last years finals wins to prove your point.

We won, they lost, you don’t think Bennett and Robinson would of preferred to be in our position, and were patting themselves on the back after the game for almost winning it?

As for the grand final, yes we were 20 down, but because we started like a rookie team that we were, with nerves and errors that the Storm capitalised on, and the Storm started like the experience veteran team that they were.

He was lucky to have Thurston make him look better than he was. Showed his lack of skills once Thurston retired

Good thing I don't pay much attention to Paul Kent.
In this case I think he's right, in that we'll be flat out beating the Storm in week 3, but didn't @DinkiDi post his article just a couple of days ago saying we were the best bet of the lot? I mean how does he decide what colour undies to wear each day?

We didn’t fire a shot last night. I think a few people/journalists would have completely opposite views to what they had based on that 80 mins.
