someone needs to examine the rules of Rugby League so a side can not sit off side for 40 minutes without anything other than the odd penalty given

I agree, though penrith weren’t penalised at all despite being 2m head start most play of the balls. You’d have to have signed the Jamaican sprint relay team to be getting off the line that quick legitimately!

It was called by the Referee on the field as incidental and he was 2 metres away.

However Sutton ruined what should have been a great game. He allowed Melbourne to slow the game to a crawl.
It seems awfully coincidental that whenever Melbourne is under pressure on their goal line and needs an extended break that their trainer calls for a HIA for a standing player who the stays on the field.
Surely the player should be off the field to conduct the HIA and play continue.

Agree, and in the Preliminary final v the Melbourne Storm last year, we were offside all day and Sutton didnt do anything

Sutton destroys games by not enforcing the rules.

The whole of the Rugby League world knows it can stand off side for as long as they like with no real repercussions but only 3 teams can implement it properly.

ie cheat to a level that makes it worthwhile.
