It will be interesting to see how thi iteration of the Panther attack fares on a drizzly/dewey evening mid-winter.

Of course, if you only let in 8 points you are going to win most games.

I think they become more dangerous. Those plays on the edge of the ruck are fast and leave defenders little margin for error. A slip or slow feet from heavy rain from the defender and it will look even easier for the Panthers.

I never rated past panthers teams attack, they usually just ground teams down and racked up points against tired defenders. This season they are the real deal in attack dangerous from anywhere on the field at any stage of the game. Storm are still arguably 2nd best team in the comp and the score last week was a fair representation of the gulf between Storm (and the rest) and the Panthers

It was very funny listening to Triple M yesterday discussing 'If Penrith are undefeated at Round 23 will Ivan still rest players like he often does before the finals?' They then went through their last 4 games and were talking about which game youd rest them to try and remain undefeated lol. Zero doubt they're (still) clearly the best team in the comp, but that kinda talk was always ridiculous.

With all the talk in the media the last few weeks there was bound to be a bit of fart sampling at some point. A kick in the arse and a wake up call isn't a bad thing really. Iirc Nathans Milestone games have been pretty shit performances in most cases as well, not sure is much to it, but interesting never the less.

At the end of the day it’s still 17 humans, there will naturally be weeks where there’s a bit of a let down. If anyone thinks less of Penrith’s chances of winning the comp cause of last night they’re an idiot. They lost to the tigers who were the worst team in the comp by a mile in Bathurst in 23 and got straight back to it the next week. Like you said you learn more from losing then winning.

Penrith also lost to a Warriors side full of reserve grade players in Magic Round a couple of years ago and we know how that turned out.
