Surely it was all planned, and it was a masterstroke.

Been rumours for months and has made Cleary uncomfortable. So put out some unambiguous photos that confirms the rumours without having to actual front a press conference to do it.

Time it for the start of the pre-season (maybe even releases a couple more, possibly on a December trip to Manchester to watch her play etc) so by the time you come back it is old news. Do a podcast with a friendly interviewer heading into the season, talking about winning thr premiership three times. Innocent question from the interviewer, Nathan confirms they are an item but asks for privacy.
