If we’re going to differentiate ‘regular season’ matches and ‘finals’ matches, Souths had as many finals wins in 2020 as Penrith.

Had as many GF losses too.
Yeah, the regular season streak thing getting trotted out is getting a bit tired now. As a Panthers fan I'm proud of the achievement, but because it was punctuated with a GF loss I can see why other fans don't give a f**k. If we had got up in the GF it would be pretty damn impressive, but so would my cock if it was a foot longer.

Souffs problem last year was running 6th, they had to play a team in the PF that had rested the week before. It was a team that had lost 1 game all year, while they had lost 8, a team they trailed on the table by 13 points. They really didn't deserve to stand on the same football field.

It was like that three straight premiership matches without conceding a point (final round last year and first two rounds this year), even though it was punctuated by three finals matches. Stats can be manipulated to make things better than they are or worse than they are. Half of the Fox Sports NRL articles seem to be based on this premise.

You’re right Frog but Penrith was already a growth area for footy before the club was born though, wasn’t it?
I guess so. That would be why a club was formed. There was a "Penrith United Football Club" (football being RL) in 1912. As far as I can gather, the club that became Panthers didn't start until post WW2. Certainly the game was played in the area pretty much as soon as it started. So in that regard @T-Boon is correct.

I didn’t know that. This is why rugby league should be taught in schools as a subject.

I love it when people find original ways to show how stupid they are
Dude he is a master at it, he has been petitioning penrith to merge with parra or move to bankwest for years, this moron is SUPER SALTY after the QCup Hunters winners got their arse handed to them by Jerome and our current youngters in the squad now, way back in 2017 interstate playoff...
Salty chocolate balls, just put them in your mouth and suckem boon

Stop lying. I am anti mergers and I certainly dont want Parra and Penrith to merge.

I want Penrith to make sensible grown up decisions. The city of Penrith was always expected to be a big growth area like Campbelltown but neither has ever happened. Penrith is on the edge of the bush. Not a sensible place for an NRL team.
