he didn’t show it whatsoever until the second half when he reeled out of a tackle clutching his shoulder…. Then promptly made the next tackle when they ran at him. Pretty solid effort.

you’d think Freddy could have given him an early mark, although I’m sure he preferred to finish on the field
Freddy asked him. He chose to play on. I think showing that sort of character in leading his team to a series win will be huge for him and his longterm confidence and leadership. If he bailed and NSW went on to lose he would forever feel he let the team down. He has now proven he can win the big games, and has done so with injury in both games.

I expect him to manage his pain and try to finish the season. Like Gower in 03 or Cronk in 18. Not sure how long Cronk carried his injury, Cleary would be in for a long season doing so from here. Tough decision for Ivan too. Does he let his kid play through injury? Would be easy if it were any other player. But when it's your own kid it must be tempting not to let him suffer

Yes, We did beat them. We will be alright. The mighty Penrith Panthers will still win the premiership and it will make it even sweeter.

I blame Donald Trump's presidency. He has it in for all acne suffering human beings. Hence the biggest change in society is the rise of the ALM; Acne Lives Matter.

As an aside, why is Cleary playing out the season with a busted shoulder just good tough footy, but playing after a concussion is a legal nightmare and can’t be allowed?

If you stopped every injured player playing.. there would be no players left in the comp.

No long term damage then they play on

Because it's your brain you f**king moron

a hell of a lot more ex players shuffling about like 80 year olds in their 50s than there are players suffering from head knocks.

a class action by former players for being asked to play with serious injury and hobbling themselves for life would be massive (Angus crighton lost his finger because his lower grades coach forced him to play out a season with a busted finger).

With the amount of league players who go into physical professions after league doing long term damage to your joints is likely a pretty big financial hit for them.

FTR I don’t see a problem with Cleary playing busted. Some of the NRLs greatest moments are players performing through injury. It just makes no sense that only head injuries are flagged as a legal minefield. Especially when clubs 100% force players to damage themselves using needles and what not (so showing clear negligence to their player’s health)

Agreed. Cronk did it in the GF, can't see why nathan couldnt either

It happened 10 minutes in. The game wasn't basically won. It was his choice to play on.

It was a Cameron Munster tackle that winged Acne Face. Probably Belly Ache told Munster to take him out so the grub Storm would have more chance to beat Penrith Panthers in the finals.
