Lazarus and Anderson hated each other but won a Premiership.

It's a shame that the team has to suffer because of their poor relationship.

You guys are desperately short a prop, too.

Tommy, you are right. But with Kite's injury, so one of our young guns will get a chance. Sam Anderson is my pick, but that RCG fellow would be worth a run as well. I'd love to see Timmy back but I suspect he's thinking about 2015.

And hey! Didn't McKendry kick doggy arse this fine evening?

We apply ourselves well when we have good possession and a bumbling opposition. Also we go pretty well when we get a big enough lead. I think the team are aware what a failure missing the 8 would be and are very determined to ensure their place. We are still top 4 and with home games against Cowboys, Warriors and a game against a Dragons team I still don't rate, Top 4 finish is still very achievable.

We don't give a f**k that you don't rate us. You only beat us by goalkicking last time out.

Well that went well

That's alright. Just make the same prediction every week and it might work out.

Expect us to barely turn up and get embarrassed by your mob. This f**king team thinks they can walk it in over half the others in the comp.

Dont underestimate the dragons, got a good backline and the forwards have been aiming up, only two tries through the middle since mary came on compared to 15 before that.

Panthers doing well having won games with 4 different halves combinations and to be still in the top 4 after 6 different halves combinations.

Wins
Soward / Wallace (9 wins from 14 games)
Soward / John (1 win vs. Dogs)
Peachey / Soward (1 win vs. Broncos)
Smith / Soward (1 win vs. Bulldogs)

Losses
Cartwright / Soward (1 loss vs. Roosters)
John / Wallace (1 loss vs. Storm)

Pretty happy at how well we cover injuries. Soward has been so good for us behind a soft forward pack and with 5 different halves partners. Amazing how well both he and Wallace have performed after being laughed at for signing the two worst halves in the NRL according to most people.

I think it worked out better then if we had landed Thurston or Carney. Our roster overall is much stronger then it could have been with then.

Desperately short about 3 props but as we keep saying, this year is about getting finals experience, strengthening combinations and building for the future. Tim Grant has no part in that future so I have no problem with him walking around in reserve grade.
But didn't Soward say you guys are the "real deal" and he was insulted by the lack of hype??

I havent heard that exactly but theres been plenty of whispers about their less then friendly relationship. One of the Penrith guys on here had it straight from Timmys mouth that he refuses to speak to Ivan im pretty sure.

If this is indeed true, it's a real shame.

During the pre-season, Tim Grant, along with Ivan Cleary and Jamie Soward (and I think one other player) completed the Kokoda Trail together. You would think that camaraderie and mateship from enduring such a physically challenging event would have fortified their footballing relationship so it must have something astronomical to cause such a riff.

Given our current injury woes, we could certainly do with Grant back in first grade.

Moylan should be barred from playing NRL like last season. Bring the Moylans back to the pack.

Where did you hear this?

From his old man. Pretty much choose any game day thread in the Panthers section for the story.

His form is down but a lot could be due to the fact he sees no 1st grade so isn't getting out of 1st gear.

A call up may fix that but we have Cherrington & Nathan Smith on the bench in NSW Cup so there's 3 or 4 that can do a job.

That's what I was thinking, but maybe Tim spent the whole trek whining " Are we there yet?"
