It's a pretty easy draw when every team is inferior to you. Injuries just helping Panthers stay motivated. Any other side would be on a losing streak with our I jury list. we're looking at a winning streak now.

Yeah massive credit to Penrith.

They have arguably the best depth in the comp and they're ploughing through a brutal injury toll to maintain their spot in the top 4.

Yeah not too bad when there is 6 genuine NRL players out, 5 for the season, and you call another 3 NRL players up from NSW cup to do a job on the Dragons.Oh, and just so you may think that could impact on the NSW cup team, they put a score of 68 - 10 on. Great depth at the club and watch out in the coming years for a Panthers grand final win or two when the club fulfils it's potential. Great to be a Panther supporter::D

Hard to argue that they probably aren't serious threats at this stage. Give them the talent of the Roosters though and they'd barely drop a game. Easy draw, terrible injuries. Whatever the seasons thrown at them they've gotten it done. 5 year plan is well on track.

you have about a 3 year window I would suggest before the salary cap kicks in and these depth players will get starting gigs at struggling clubs

Dragons started kicking early when they realised there was no way through the defense, they had multiple sets on our line and couldnt bust through, I put it down to the Dragons not having any notable forwards, usually teams can throw one or two hit ups at us condense the defense, then spread it wide. Had Dugan been at fullback, Creagh been at second row and Merrin played 80 Dragons would have been a challenge but inept coaching made it easier.

U16s - Made GF, lost
U18s - Made GF, lost
U20s - Sitting in the 8 (just). Not sure they will stay in the top 8, but a reasonable year considering player turnover from last year's side
Reserves - Won Minor Premiership in Round 21. Should make grand final, and be stronger when NRL and Under 20s are out.
NRL - Sitting in 3rd atm. Might make week 2 of finals with a bit of luck.

The amount of easy games the panthers have had this year is just beyond amazing,I can not think of a team less deserving of a top 4 spot in the last 10 years.

Panthers have a relatively hard run home which will almost certainly prevent them from getting the shield.

As for all those others sooking, it's something called 'luck of the draw' - if Penrith have luck with them this year, then good on them. Build a bridge and get the f**k over it. You wouldn't be complaining if your team had a lucky draw!!!

They will go out of the finals without a whimper, they have been exposed v the top teams this season the few times they play them.

Credit where it is due for Penrith. I thought they would slide out of the top 4, it could still happen but they are putting on a great fight and look likely to keep their spot.

Panthers fans should ditch the “whatever happens this year is a bonus” attitude and start believing in a premiership this year. Under this finals system once you make the top 4 you are a genuine chance and you never know what could happen next year to derail a season regardless of how promising a side is.

If we had Peachey, Taylor, Wallace and Cartwright fit I would be very excited for the finals. Without them im just gonna see what happens, with a top four finish we might worry some teams.

The side that took the field yesterday is the best we can field. You saw what we had apart from Will Smith getting the ball more. Cartwright and Peachey being out stings the x factor we need to trouble the top sides. Who knows though if Moylan, Seg and Sowie lift then we aren't out of it

Even if Isaac John was fit it would be a boost. Hopefully Smith can continue to improve and gain cofidence in the last few weeks because Soward is really having to do a lot now.
