neither McDougall (Cronulla) nor Price (Canberra) ever played in the local leagues. Tanner is a Tamworth boy I think?
I dunno much about players and their feeder clubs. i just added some names in there, i guess you get my point though.

I respect your loyalty to Hages Benno, but I'm affraid you haven't changed my opinion of Hagan one bit. I will also add that my feelings about him didn't start last year, or the year before that, I haven't been a fan of his from day one. Just to add to the brutal defense comments, it wasn't Mal, or Woz that instilled that in the club, that was in place from our very first game all those years ago, we have always (up until the past few years) had a reputation for fearsome defense. Clubs used to love playing the team the Knights had played the previous week because of the damage our boys had done the previous week. That no longer applies, and you still haven't given me a positive from his five years here.

OO and Antonius...The knights would have improved under hagan had the facilities been sh*t loads better..No coach can improve a team when they have no Massager, Physio, rehab officer, ice baths, ...basically around the clock service....cant improve a team whem most of them are in a make-shift rehab class!!

South Newcastle had better services for christ sake.
You don't need any of those to convince players to show pride in the shirt, and heart on the field. You don't need any of those to show faith in your juniors and reward performance. You don't need any of those to show a bit of back bone and drop non-performers. The words in my sig could well apply to Hagan.

You obviously havnt played football mate.

in a compitition such as the nrl, players confidence and there ability to play gets jugded in some way on how there fitness and how ther body is holding up after a few very heavy contact games....

most players in the knights 2005 opening season had very little confidence cause they new in themselves and in their teamates that they wern't fit and that their injuries from year b4 wernt healed properly...mainly because of the makeshift rehab.

Weather I've played or not is irrelevant, it doesn't change the fact that with less facilities in the years before Hages we had a team prepared to put in 100% for the entire game. That's no longer the case. You're entitled to an opinion and I respect that. I just don't agree with it.

out of curiosity benno. After people like me and antonus etc having our say. Has your opinion on hagan changed at all. Also what do you believe are all the good things he has done well for the team in his 5 years?

Yeh mate..it has a bit..just with the other bits of info that people have given such as the stats and stuff...i wasnt too sure on them but yeh thats opened my eyes a fair bit too it.

i spose really my only real point is that id would have liked to see what hages could have done with proper facilities.

had a small old chat with me pop whilst having a good old aussie bbq and he said that unfortunantly hagan is really just a too nicer bloke to be a coach..he dosent want to get on anyones bad side..hence why he's so leaniant towards perry, woolnough, carmont etc...he blew it up woolnough and carmont mid/late of the year and they played really well...perrys just a fat lazy bugger.

But in the end fellas im looking forward to the change (feel sorry for him) but realistically a new tougher coach who will whop the boys into action is prob needed.

Is peter sharp much of a whipper boy??

Being fit or unfit dosnt matter till the last 10mins of a half... we were gone from the get go, obviously a coaches problem...
From the age of under 10s, your tought to show pride in ur jersey, dig deep when needed. If they are 'unfit' dont you think the players would have done somthing on there own if they knew it?
If the players know there injuries arnt sweet, go to their OWN physio... they do have the money...
