What a joke. I have tickets, but am bitter about the fact that people bought too many, any some families missed out, and will not be able to pay what these clowns are asking. .....JOKE.

The person selling those tickets also has the hide to say this:

"Serious bids only.

If you missed out on tickets dont be selfish and limit someone else's ability to attend this momentous game and support their team.
"

FFS how do you accidently buy 10 extra tickets, then put them on auction on Ebay.

I agree Ultra. What annoys me is the idiot saying that they 'accidently' bought too many tickets.

400 bucks for two outer ground seats?

If you click into the history of the bids on these tickets, you will see that most
of the high bids have been automatically cancelled by Ebay because they were
fake bids.

I wonder what happens to the few genuine people who placed the earlier lower
bids? Do they end up with the tickets?

The Cowboys administrators, or the NRL, should refund this git his money, and
then re-issue those tickets for sale to genuine people.

This jerk says they 'accidently' bought 10 extra tickets.

The NRL should make a bid, get their contract details, and prosecute the bastards to the full extent of the law.

Is he braking the law??

I dont know how to differentiate between scalpers and somebody selling something they own and have payed for for as much as the buyer is willing to pay. Kinda like real estate to me, you buy at a price and then sell for as much as possible.

Here is what it says on my ticket from the 4th final on sunday:

'It is a condition of sale that that this ticket may not, without the prior written consent of the NRL, be resold at a premium nor used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (incl competitions/trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a ticket is sold/used in breach of this condition, the bearer of the ticket will be denied admission'.

Sounds like they're breaking the law and invalidating the ticket to me.

FROM the Courier Mail (Qld)

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,10493081%5E23211,00.html

The Victorian government has outlawed AFL Grand Final ticket scalping and last year the leading internet auction site ebay banned all grand final ticket auctions once it realised it could be in breach of the law.

But there are no safeguards in place for regular season matches.

A spokesman for the Queensland Office of Fair Trading said there was no law against scalping in the sunshine state, but warned eager fans to beware of bogus tickets.

I think I read somewhere that Cowboys CEO Dennis Keefe was "disapointed" that people were auctioning the tickets on eBay, but couldn't do anything about it because it wasn't against the law.

Why would they allow one person to buy 10 tickets anyway??

When you go to the game, they don't allow you to buy 10 beers do they??

As far as I'm aware it is only illegal to scalp if you do it just outside the stadium, or something like that. Over eBay etc is not.

I have bought 10 tickets many times as the organiser of a group. It is most frustrating when you have a group of 12 mates who want to sit together at the footy and they only let you buy 10 at a time.

Lots of people attend with groups of there friends.

So what do you do when you have 12 people??

How about ask a mate to come with you??

I'm not saying they should have number restrictions on the 95% of games which are not sell outs, but when there are sought after games like this, they need to have a look at this practice....

Seems he just wants the ticket sold no matter what, selling the tickets on EBay is definitly against the law
